Quality-assessed analytical methods are required to determine organic priority substances (PS) in biota for the monitoring of the water status according to the EU Water Framework Directive. Although the literature describes several analytical methods to determine these substances in fish, discussion about the efficiency of the clean-up procedures to remove the lipids in the final organic extract (and decrease the disturbance of co-extractives at the detection step) is scarce.

Fatty acyl-Coenzyme A species (acyl-CoAs) are key biomarkers in studies focusing on cellular energy metabolism. Existing analytical approaches are unable to simultaneously detect the full range of short- , medium-, and long-chain acyl-CoAs, while chromatographic limitations encountered in the analysis of limited amounts of biological samples are an often overlooked problem.

In this study, fatty acids were converted to methyl esters and identified by gas chromatography using flame ionization detector (GC-FID) with column Cap Mao Equity 5 (Merck, L×ID 30m×0.25 mm, df 0.25 µm). From the total lipid of 50 of Vietnamese seaweed, we have identified 30 fatty acids, in which, C16:0, C18:1n-9, C20:4n-6 (AA) fatty acids have the high content, and C20:5n-3 (EPA), C22:6n-3 (DHA), C22:5n-3 (DPA) fatty acids have the high bioactivities.

Agilent’s innovative EMR-Lipid and Captiva EMRLipid sorbents efficiently replace the traditional QuEChERS d-SPE clean-up products in selective lipid removal from fatty matrices, thus improving instrumental analytical reproducibility, reliability, and long-term use. These products have dual functionality; a hydrophobic interaction between the sorbent with long aliphatic lipid chains of the matrices, which allows for complete lipid retention, and a size exclusion property that does not retain analytes, thus this maximizes, in principle, analyte recovery in any sample.

Temperature and storage are important determinants of sample stability which is essential for getting credible concentrations of analytes including those of the lipids. This study examined the influence of freeze-thawing and storage on the concentration human of lipid analytes. The study was conducted using samples from One hundred (50 males and 50 females) randomly selected outpatient participants between the ages of 20 – 60 years. Collection of blood samples was done using the antecubital venipuncture.

Sâm đất thu ở 10 địa điểm khác nhau trong năm 2015 đã được phân tích protein tổng số bằng phương pháp AOAC (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) và phân tích hàm lượng axit amin bằng phương pháp HPLC (High-performance liquid chromatography - Sắc kí lỏng hiệu năng cao). Kết quả cho thấy hàm lượng protein tổng số trung bình là 11% ở Siphonosoma australe australe và 9,79% ở Sipunculus nudus.Đặc biệt có đến 19 loại axit amin với chín loại axit amin không thay thế.
