Intestinal parasitic infections are prevalent in conditions which have poor hygiene, environment and sanitation. Orphans always lack in basic monetary and sanitary assets in their livelihood. Overcrowded places with lack of cleanliness like orphanages and destitute homes are most dangerous as the infection spreads through them swiftly leading to multiple infections (1). In this tender age group, children are not outspoken about their problems, which can increase the chronicity of the infestation leading to serious impairment in their health.

The title should say it all. This is not a law book though lawyers should find it useful. Much less is it a students’ book though it does no harm for students to see how the law works in practice. The purpose of this book is to guide businessmen and women through the maze of IP law so that they avoid mistakes that have threatened the livelihoods and, occasionally, ruined the lives of many of their number.

These interactions are discussed further in section I.B below. Factors such as rapid population growth, inequitable access to productive assets, especially land, the neglect of agriculture outside high potential areas, and the impact of external shocks, combine in certain areas to produce and reproduce poverty. Limited alternative non-farm income opportunities reinforce this situation. Poor households tend to respond either by migrating or by other options such as an expansion of farming activity to open new lands to cultivation, which may increase the pressure on natural resources.
