Livestock markets studied

The aim of this study is strategic planning of poultry cluster to determine the leverage points based on the supply chain strategy and to offer approaches according to commercial soft technology maturity. The study was performed using field study and documentation between September 2017 and August 2018. The results highlight the leverage points regarding supply and demand management of chicken meat with an emphasis on export market and low maturity of business technology in Golestan poultry markets.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the scenario of the livestock markets in central plain zone of Punjab. There are total 5 big livestock markets in the central plain zone of Punjab. Out of these three markets namely Jagraon, Sadhugarh and Khanna deals majorly with productive animals sale purchase while rest two deals with sale-purchase of unproductive buffaloes (senile, calves etc) for meat purpose only. Aflatoxin contamination levels were monitored in groundnut products derived from participatory on-farm demonstration plots, farm stores and markets in 21 districts in Northern Ghana in 2015 and 2016. Multistage sampling technique was used for the study and data was collected using structured questionnaire supplemented with key informant interview. The study provides a comprehensive picture of the animal feed sector in Vietnam (both supply and demand side) upon data collected from 2 main surveys: feed mill survey investigating the supply side and producer survey investigating the demand side. The results show that, on the supply side, SMEs appear to have less competitiveness than large ones.
