Based on the quantitative and qualitative features of CT imaging, a model for predicting the invasiveness of ground-glass nodules (GGNs) was constructed, which could provide a reference value for preoperative planning of GGN patients.

To evaluate whether quantification of lung GGN shape is useful in predicting pathological categorization of lung adenocarcinoma and guiding the clinic. Quantification of lung GGN morphology by the BiA/SmA ratio combined with LD could be helpful in predicting pathological classification of lung adenocarcinoma.

An accurate and non-invasive approach is urgently needed to distinguish tuberculosis granulomas from lung adenocarcinomas. This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram based on contrast enhancedcompute tomography (CE-CT) to preoperatively differentiate tuberculosis granuloma from lung adenocarcinoma appearing as solitary pulmonary solid nodules (SPSN).

In traditional opinion, solid pulmonary nodule suspected lung cancer should be confirmed by pathology before the operation to exclude small cell lung cancer (SCLC), considering SCLC tends to be aggressive and surgical effect in the management of SCLC remains controversial. The aim of this study was to evaluate the survival result and risk factors of postoperative unsuspected SCLC.

Pleural deformation is associated with the invasiveness of lung adenocarcinoma(LAC). Our study focused on the pathological components of the area adjacent pleura in pulmonary pure ground-glass nodules(pGGNs) with pleural deformations(P-pGGNs) confirmed to be invasive LAC without visceral pleural invasion (VPI) pathologically.

To investigate the correlation between CT imaging features and pathological subtypes of pulmonary nodules and construct a prediction model using deep learning. We collected information of patients with pulmonary nodules treated by surgery and the reference standard for diagnosis was post-operative pathology.

There is a need for biomarkers that improve accuracy compared with current demographic risk indices to detect individuals at the highest lung cancer risk. Improved risk determination will enable more effective lung cancer screening and better stratification of lung nodules into high or low-risk category.

Sarcoidosis is a disease of unknown etiology that is characterized by non-caseating granulomas in multiple organs. It can involve the lung in various forms. Nodular involvement is a rare form of pulmonary sarcoidosis which can be mistaken for malignancy. Diagnosis requires compatible clinical picture along with imaging findings suggestive of the disease and noncaseating granulomas on histopathology.

Lung cancer is one of the most serious cancer-related diseases in Vietnam and all over the world. In this paper, we follow the direction of datacentric approach for lung nodule detection by proposing a data-centric method to improve detection performance of lung nodules on CT scans.

B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders are characterized by the accumulation of mature B lymphocytes in the bone marrow, lymphoid tissues, and/or peripheral blood. They can cause amyloid deposits in the lungs. In rare cases, lung nodules can be the first sign of this disorder.

The accuracy of CT and tumour markers in screening lung cancer needs to be improved. Computeraided diagnosis has been reported to effectively improve the diagnostic accuracy of imaging data, and recent studies have shown that circulating genetically abnormal cell (CAC) has the potential to become a novel marker of lung cancer.

Detection of small peripheral lung nodules is constantly increasing with the development of low dose computed tomography lung cancer screening programs. A tissue diagnosis is often required to confirm malignity, with endobronchial biopsies being associated with a lower pneumothorax rate than percutaneous approaches.
