Histiocytic sarcoma (HS) is defined as neoplasm resembling morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics of mature histiocytes. It is a rare form of lymphoid neoplasms. Despite advances in treatment and diagnosis of histiocytic sarcoma, majority of cases had poor prognosis due to progressive nature of the disease.

Adrenal ganglioneuroblastoma is an extremely rare tumor among adrenal neoplasms in adult. We reported a 26-year-old young female patient presented with vague pain in left plank. Abdominal sonography and CTScan revealed a heterogenous solid lobulated left adrenal mass which contenting central necrosis, hemorrhage, coarse calcification and multiple adjacent metastasized lymphoid nodules, hence adrenal cortical carcinoma was not excluded although testing for adrenal function were normal.

Kawasaki disease (KD) is a multisystemic vasculitis of unknown etiology, typically affecting children younger than 5 years of age. A direct relationship between KD and the development of malignant tumors has not been demonstrated, however, the immunological alterations of KD could be associated with its development. An 11-month-old male was diagnosed with incomplete KD.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms are a group of diseases with diverse biological and clinical characteristics. As a provisional separate entity, myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms with eosinophilia and genetic rearrangement have been described, which may present an initial clinical behavior of myeloproliferation and be characterized by varied genetic rearrangements.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most frequent lymphoid neoplasm among adults, and approximately 30–40% of patients will experience relapse while 5–10% will suffer from primary refractory disease caused by different mechanisms, including treatment-induced resistance.

Although myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) – including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) – and myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasms (MDS/MPN) are largely clinically distinct myeloid malignancies, epidemiological studies rarely examine them separately and often combine them with lymphoid malignancies, limiting possible etiological interpretations for specific myeloid malignancies.

Eosinophilic lung diseases represent a heterogeneous group of disorders with prominent infiltrate of eosinophils in lung interstitium and alveolar spaces. Peripheral blood eosinophilia is often present. Infections, drugs, allergens, toxic agents have to be evaluated as possible causes of eosinophilic lung infiltrates.

Hematological malignancies (HM) are a public health problem. The pattern and distribution of diagnosed hematological cancers vary depending on age, sex, geography, and ethnicity suggesting the involvement of genetic and environmental factors for the development of these diseases.

Splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is a rare lymphoid B-cell malignant neoplasm with primary involvement of the spleen. It is a chronic disease, of indolent behavior and prolonged survival. However, 25% of cases have higher biological aggressiveness, propensity for histological transformation to high grade B-cell nonHodgkin lymphoma and shortened survival.

The association between herpes zoster and the risk of lymphoid neoplasms in Asian populations has not yet been established. We performed a longitudinal follow-up study using a nationwide cohort to assess the risk of lymphoid neoplasms arising after herpes zoster infection in the adult Korean population.

Two characteristic features define a cancer: unregulated cell growth and tissue invasion/metastasis. Unregulated cell growth without invasion is a feature of benign neoplasms, or new growths. Cancer is a synonym for malignant neoplasm. Cancers of epithelial tissues are called carcinomas; cancers of nonepithelial (mesenchymal) tissues are called sarcomas. Cancers arising from hematopoietic or lymphoid cells are called leukemias or lymphomas. Cancer is a genetic disease.

Clinical Features, Treatment, and Prognosis of Specific Lymphoid Malignancies Precursor Cell B Cell Neoplasms Precursor B Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma The most common cancer in childhood is B cell ALL. Although this disorder can also present as a lymphoma in either adults or children, presentation as lymphoma is rare. The malignant cells in patients with precursor B cell lymphoblastic leukemia are most commonly of pre-B cell origin.
