This study was conducted to determine the effect of Abscisic Acid (ABA) and Ancymidol on proliferation of female inflorescences explants of date palm. In the first experiment two lengths of spath at (5–7 cm) or at (7–10 cm) were cultured on nutrient media which consists of half macro and full micro-salts of MS.

The oil absorption capacity decreased with blending. Other functional properties such as Water absorption capacity, Bulk density, swelling index, loaf height, and loaf volume increased as blends ration increases. Sensory characteristic reflected a down turn progression as blending was increased. Increase in cashew nut flour led to increase in chemical and functional quality values of the bread samples hence cheap bio functional ingredient which could also alleviate hidden hunger in rural populations with supplies of macro and micro nutrients.

Crop residues are the plant parts that are left in the field after harvesting. These residues are usually burnt to clear the field as a field preparation for the next crop. Burning residues is the cheapest and common method adapted by farmers. Burning of residues affects the soil health as well as pollute the environment. Due to burning of residue, microbes are killed and making soil unfertile. Besides macro and micro nutrients which are easily volatilized due to burning of residue in the soil.

Nine typical pedons from Langate Block of Kupwara district during 2017 were selected and surveyed for the purpose of collection of soil samples. The soil samples processed and analyzed for different nutrients. Available Micro and Macro nutrients were determined using standard techniques. The overall results showed that the soils are near slightly acidic to moderate alkaline in reaction, low to medium in organic carbon. In general the soils The available nutrients Nitrogen and Potassium were low to medium with the mean values of 287.99 and 149.

Universal extractant is a term used to designate reagents or procedures to extract several elements or ions to assess soil fertility status or levels of toxicity. The extraction procedure should be rapid, reproducible, inexpensive, adaptable to soils from different regions, and extract the labile forms of nutrients which might be potentially available to plants. Most of the extractants in use are fall short of these requirements.

Burning of crop residues generates large amount of pollutants leads to the cardiorespiratory diseases. Also, it has negative impact on organic matter, nitrogen and other micro and macro soil nutrients. Soil incorporation of crop residues is one of the best alternatives to the crop residue burning. Sunflower, having most of the cultivable area in Karnataka and Maharashtra has proved to be very beneficial for the improvement of soil productivity.

Study was conducted to evaluate soil fertility status in the four different tasar growing regions in Banka District of Bihar and Dumka District of Jharkhand. A total of 75 surface soil samples (0-30 cm) were collected from the fields of primary tasar food plants (Terminalia arjuna and T. tomentosa) along with the details regarding farmer’s name, land type, fertilizer details, geo location, etc. The collected samples were air dried, sieved and analyzed for various soil fertility parameters such as pH, EC, organic carbon, macro and micro nutrients etc.

Earthworm diversity and distribution patterns are generally governed by a variety of biotic and abiotic factors such as soil properties, surface litter, vegetation type and, land use pattern, local or regional climate and anthropogenic activities. In the present study we have analysed the earthworm diversity and soil analysis of Chittur, Palakkad, Kerala and Kanuvai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

A comprehensive study was conducted on the distribution of earthworms and soil analysis in the Polluted area of Palakkad district. There are some exotic and native peregrine species which has the inherent ability to withstand in disturbed habitats. Such earthworm species have high medicinal value due to the presence of immunologically active compound in their body. The present study reveals that four different species of earthworms was identified from the sampling stations and analysed the influence of the soil parameters like macro and micro nutrients on earthworm diversity.

Terai Zone of West Bengal is considered as a fragile ecological region because of high rainfall and prolongs winter. Plants cannot derive nutrients effectively from its organic source because of slow mineralization. Soils are acidic and light textured. High rainfall coupled with low pH lead to deficiency of several macro and micro-nutrients and at the same time toxicity of some other elements.

Among the various Sub-catchments in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Namblan Subcatchment of Jhelum basin has not been studied in view of the nutrient status of the soils. Based on variations in vegetation, altitude, land use and soil heterogeneity six representative soil profiles were exposed and studied for their depth wise distribution of Nutrient. Soil samples collected thereof, were analyzed for various macro and micro nutrients. While as the increasing trend was followed by the macro-nutrients and micro nutrients. The contents of nitrogen and potassium were in the range of 231.
