Macrofungi specimens

A survey was carried out to study the diversity of Macrofungi from the forest of Champhai, Mizoram, Northeast India. 17 (seventeen) species of edible wild mushrooms were collected. The identified specimens were from the families – Russulaceae, Polyporaceae, Boletaceae, Lyophyllaceae, Agaricaceae, Auriculariaceae, Marasmiaceae, Gomphaceae, Schizophyllaceae, Elaphomycetaceae. The species were identified based on their morphology. The ethnic tribal people have extensive ethnomycological knowledge based on which they collect and sell the edible ones.

Macrofungi specimens were collected from Gölbafli (Adiyaman) district in 2000-2003. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 77 taxa belonging to 22 families in the classes Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes were identified. Five of them, Cyathus stercoreus (Schw.) de Toni, Entoloma rusticoides (Gill.) Noordel., Pluteus dietrichii Bres., Coprinus dilectus Fr. and Panaeolus guttulatus Bres., are new records for Turkey.

This study was based on specimens of macrofungi collected from Karabük province between 1998 and 2000. It resulted in the identification of 121 taxa belonging to 33 families, and 14 taxa were added to the Turkish mycota flora as new records.

This study was based on macrofungi specimens collected from Sinop province between 1998 and 2000. According to the field and laboratory work, 170 taxa belonging to 32 families have been identified and 32 of these taxa were added to Turkey’s macromycota flora as new records.

Some macrofungi specimens were collected from Gümüflhane province between 2001 and 2003. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 105 taxa belonging to 2 classes and 24 families were identified. These taxa are presented in a list. Of the 105 taxa, 14 are new records for the mycoflora of Turkey.

The macrofungi specimens were collected from different localities of the Bozkir (Konya) district in 2000-2001, particularly during autumn and spring. As a result of these field and laboratory studies, 74 species belonging to 23 families were identified. Of these, seven belong to Ascomycetes and 67 belong to Basidiomycetes.

Some macrofungi specimens were collected from Yahyali (Kayseri) province in 2000-2001. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 94 taxa belonging to 28 families were identified. Nine species belong to Ascomycotina and 85 to Basidiomycotina. The distribution, habitat and collecting numbers of the identified species are given.

Macrofungi specimens were collected from different localities in Derebucak district (Konya province) between 2005 and 2007, particularly during the autumn and spring. As a result 134 species were identified. Thirteen of them belong to Ascomycota, and the other 121 belong to the division Basidiomycota.

As a result of field and laboratory studies, 106 taxa under 35 families belonging to the classes Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes are described: 3 of them, namely Psathyrella panaeoloides (Maire) Arnolds, Galerina stylifera var. stylifera (G.F.Atk.) Specimens of macrofungi were collected from localities on Honaz Mountain (Denizli) in 2005 and 2006, particularly during autumn and spring. Field and laboratory studies revealed a total of 109 taxa belonging to 64 genera, 32 families and 2 classes. Six taxa belong to Ascomycetes and 103 to Basidiomycetes.

Several macrofungi specimens were collected during field studies in Kayseri province. After field and laboratory studies, 6 species belonging to 6 families were identified as new records for Turkey.
