The crystalline structure-magnetic behaviour relationships of the nanomaterials were investigated to imply the presence of a surface protection at nanoscale. The speculation indicated that shock waves took place as the surface-protective role rather than the original mechanical interaction of ultrasound with a larger scope of impact.

The dependence of the magnetic responsiveness on magnetite nanoparticle size has been studied. Monodisperse magnetite nanoparticles of 10 nm diameter were prepared by an ultrasonically enhanced co-precipitation procedure. A carboxyl-functionalised solvothermal approach was applied to synthesise magnetite nanoparticles with an average size of 30 nm.

In this article, we present a simulation study to assess the effect of particle size on the magnetic properties of magnetic fluids which contain the magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles ensemble with their physical size variation between 2 nm and 20 nm (Critical size range for biomedical applications). These results show that the magnetic properties of microfluidics strongly depend on the size of the component nanoparticles.

An environmentally benign synthesis of a magnetically responsive carboxymethylated cellulose nanofibril-based material is reported. Applied experimental conditions lead to the in-situ formation of magnetite nanoparticles with primary particle sizes of 2.0–4.0 nm or secondary particles of 3.6–16.4 nm depending on whether nucleation occurred between individual carboxymethylated cellulose nanofibrils, or on exposed fibril surfaces.

In this paper, the potential of micellar solutions of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as eluents in dispersive micro-solid phase extraction (D-μSPE) using polydopamine-coated magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4@PDA NPs) for the extraction and preconcentration of seven basic drugs (bupropion, citalopram, fluoxetine, mianserin, nomifensine, trimipramine, and viloxazine) is explored for the first time (to the best to our knowledge) and compared with conventional hydro-organic eluents.

The spectroscopic studies reveal that the GO–Fe 3 O4 nanocomposite is a highly efficient adsorbent for MB removal from aqueous solution, providing an adsorption capacity of 172.6 mg/g, and the equilibrium for MB adsorption is attained in ∼70 min. Moreover, it is a magnetically separable and reusable material for MB removal from water, preserving 87% of its initial efficiency after 5 successive runs.

: Porous magnetite (Fe3 O4 ) and hematite (α-Fe2 O3 ) nanoparticles were prepared via the sol-gel auto-combustion method. The gels were prepared by reacting ferric nitrates (as oxidants) with starch (as fuel) at an elevated temperature of 200 °C. Different ratios (Φ) of ferric nitrates to starch were used for the synthesis (Φ = fuel/oxidant).

Excessive amounts of reactive oxygen species (ROS), unless counterbalanced by antioxidants, can cause cellular damage under oxidative stress conditions; therefore, antioxidative defenses against ROS must be measured. With the development of nanotechnology, nanoparticles have found numerous applications in science, health, and industries. Magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4 :MNPs) have attracted attention because of their peroxidase-like activity.

In this study, we report a simple and economic one-pot synthesis of magnetite (Fe3O4) nanostructure and its modification with tetraethyl orthosilicate by coprecipitation method. The synthesized (Fe3O4@SiO2 ) nano sorbent was applied for enhanced adsorptive removal of methylene blue by ultrasonic wave driven batch experiments. After successful synthesis, the nanostructure was characterized for their physical structure by FT-IR, VSM, TEM, and XRD. For the maximum adsorptive performance of nano sorbent, various parameters were optimized, such as dose, pH, time, concentration, and temperature.

Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary having significant role in modern science. Myconanotechnology is an emerging field, where fungi are being used for the synthesis of nanoparticles with desirable size and shape. Fungi have an added advantage over bacteria as well as actinomycetes, as fungi are excellent secretors of proteins leads to a higher yield of nanoparticles which are highly stable, cost-effective, eco-friendly and non-toxic.

This study describes a preparation of magnetite nanoparticle by co-precipitation of Fe(II) and Fe(III) in alginate hydrogel matrix. This simple process is sufficient for producing a superparamagnetic, well dispersible magnetite nanoparticle in polymer hydrogel matrix. Two approaches for iron ions loadings are induced. The first approach includes two steps, the hydrogel beads are formed before the iron ions are being diffused into the hydrogel matrix. The second approach is the simultaneous forming of hydrogel containing iron ions.

Materials are important to mankind because of the benefits that can be derived from the manipulation of their properties, for example electrical conductivity, dielectric constant, magnetization, optical transmittance, strength and toughness. Materials science is a broad field and can be considered to be an interdisciplinary area. Included within it are the studies of the structure and properties of any material, the creation of new types of materials, and the manipulation of a material's properties to suit the needs of a specific application....
