Morbilliviruses are categorized under the family of Paramyxoviridae and have been associated with severe diseases, such as Peste des petits ruminants, canine distemper and measles with evidence of high morbidity and/or could cause major economic loss in production of livestock animals, such as goats and sheep. Feline morbillivirus (FeMV) is one of the members of Morbilliviruses that has been speculated to cause chronic kidney disease in cats even though a definite relationship is still unclear.

Global trend of the introduction of high levels of relatively cheap carbohydrates to reduce the amount of costly protein in the aquatic animal feed production has affected the aquaculture of an economically important cyprinid fish, blunt snout bream (Megalobrama amblycephala). This dietary shift has resulted in increased prevalence of metabolic disorders, often causing economic losses. High dietary intake of carbohydrates, associated with obesity, is one of the major causes of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in humans.

Copy Number Variations (CNVs) have becoming very significant variants, representing a major source of genomic variation. CNVs involvement in phenotypic expression and different diseases has been widely demonstrated in humans as well as in many domestic animals. However, genome wide investigation on these structural variations is still missing in Felis catus.

Infections with helminths cause an enormous disease burden in billions of animals and plants worldwide. Large scale use of anthelmintics has driven the evolution of resistance in a number of species that infect livestock and companion animals, and there are growing concerns regarding the reduced efficacy in some human-infective helminths.

This study, we could conclude that there is a high prevalence of leptospirosis in the animal population in this district. For effective prevention of the disease, one must follow routine vaccination of pets, proper sanitation and waste disposal to control the rodent population that plays a major role in transmission of leptospirosis. The need for a modified vaccine for animals as well as humans including prevalent serovars of Leptospira is being highlighted.

In recent years, there is a significant expansion in commercial pond carp culture in India. While much of this development has focused on Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana, there are several other states such as Orissa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu where commercial carp culture is gaining momentum. Diseases of varied etiology are, however, a serious constraint to the success of many of the freshwater culture systems. With the intensification of culture, fish health problems have become very common in Andhra Pradesh carp culture systems.
