According to this paper, an apparel or textile company was once the top three export earners for manufactured goods of Malaysia.   • This research involved the leaders of admin level in manufacturing industry Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 165 respondents. The result indicated that Intellectual Stimulation was the highest level for employees in the manufacturing industry. However, Individual Consideration was the most significant correlation to organization innovation in the manufacturing industry.

  • This study measured innovation by four types of innovation namely product innovation, process innovation, administrative innovation, and marketing innovation. SMEs performance was measured from the perspective of financial and nonfinancial. The survey was conducted among top-level management of 440 Manufacturing SME in Malaysia.   • This study propose the conceptual framework the relationship between 5S lean tool, value stream mapping (VSM) and warehouse performance (WP) among Malaysian manufacturing industry.   • More important findings to be reported is that the spillover effects of FDI appear to be quickly assimilated by workers in the Malaysian manufacturing industries through the "learning effect" as opposed to “technology effect” and that the fast pace is biased towards higher labour productivity. Findings from this study can help the FDI attraction policy to be carried out not only to increase Malaysian labour productivity, but most importantly to ensure the function of FDI transfer of knowledge to labour takes place, which must be based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • The present paper attempts to examine and establish the relationship between R&D and job creation by using GMM-System across 54 industries in the Malaysian manufacturing sector. The empirical evidence provided in this paper suggests that R&D significantly determined job creation. R&D policy can contribute a positive effect on job creation in the Malaysian manufacturing sector. This is indeed in line with the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy that aims to expand Malaysia’s gross expenditure on R&D by at least 2 percent prior to the year 2020.

  • The objective of this research is to measure the technical efficiency (TE) level in furniture manufacturing industry in Malaysia besides analyzing the technical inefficiency factors to improve the firm’s efficiency. Data in the firm levels which were obtained from Department of Statistics (DOS) and will be analyzed by using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). The study has used cross-sectional data of 710 firms acquired from DOS.

  • This study aims investigate the impact of green purchasing practices including green product, green process and green supplier on environmental and business performance in the context of Malaysian manufacturing companies. A total of 156 questionnaires were distributed to different industry sectors. The findings show that green product, green process and green supplier are significantly and positively related to environmental performance.

  • Malaysia has achieved significant industrial growth over the years due to the enterprising intervention of multinational companies (MNCs). The organisational climate in terms of its collaborative nature and innovative efforts has led to the enhancement of creativity among MNCs. The extent of knowledge sharing behaviour within MNCs, particularly in the Malaysian context, has not been thoroughly researched. A huge primary survey involving 20 MNCs with 155 respondents from both manufacturing and service sectors was included in this study.
