This study aims to observe the value of the dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) technique in the assessment of primary lung cancer. Compare the difference in density of lung tumors on the true non-contrast (TNC) and virtual non-contrast (VNC) images. Investigate the iodine concentration value of lung tumors in differentiating malignant and benign lesions as well as adenocarcinoma and squamous carcinoma in lung cancer.

Pulmonary sclerosing (Pneumocytoma) is a rare benign pulmonary tumor of primitive epithelial origin. Because of the unspecific radiological features mimicking malignancies and their histological heterogeneity, the differential diagnosis with adenocarcinoma and carcinoid tumors is still challenging.

The purpose of this study was to assess tracer uptake (%ID/g) in tumor-bearing mice and the relationship between uptake values and Ki-67 expression. In our model experiment, accumulation of the tracer in the tumor samples correlates with its malignancy which indicates that 18F-FLT could be a feasible PET tracer.

Solid pseudopapillary tumors (SPTs) of the pancreas is a low-grade malignant tumor, accounting for only 1–2.5% of all pancreatic tumors. In particular, small (≤ 3 cm) SPTs do not often have typical computed tomography (CT) features, making them easily misdiagnosed with other solid tumors and eventually affecting the choice of treatment method.

Ovarian cancer constitutes one of the most lethal gynecologic malignancies for females. Currently, early detection strategies and therapeutic options for ovarian cancer are far from satisfactory, leading to high diagnosis rates at late stages and disease relapses. New avenues of therapy are needed that target key processes in ovarian cancer progression.

The mean platelet volume/platelet count ratio (MPV/PC) ratio based on the preoperative peripheral MPV and PCcan be used to predict the prognosis of multiple malignant tumors. MPV/PC may be used as a novel independent prognostic factor for patients with resectable cervical cancer.

Colorectal cancer is a malignant gastrointestinal cancer, in which some advanced patients would develop cancer cachexia (CAC). CAC is defined as a multi-factorial syndrome characterized by weight loss and muscle loss (with or without fat mass), leading to progressive dysfunction, thereby increasing morbidity and mortality

Wilms tumor is a highly heritable malignancy. Aberrant METTL14, a critical component of N6-meth‑ yladenosine (m6 A) methyltransferase, is involved in carcinogenesis. The association between genetic variants in the METTL14 gene and Wilms tumor susceptibility remains to be fully elucidated.

Currently, no available coherent management protocol exists for pediatric cancers associated with pleural effusion, ascites, and pericardial efusion. This study aimed to retrospectively present our experience in treating pediatric cancer patients with pleural effusion, ascites, and pericardial efusion using interleukin-2 (IL-2) and dexa‑ methasone (DEX) intracavitary injections.

Stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), which accounts for approximately 95% of gastric cancer types, is a malignancy cancer with high morbidity and mortality. Tumor angiogenesis plays important roles in the progression and pathogenesis of STAD, in which long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been verified to be crucial for angiogenesis.

Malignant melanoma is an aggressive skin cancer and a tumor of melanocytic origin. Recent studies have suggested that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play crucial regulatory roles in multiple malignancies, including melanoma. Testis expressed 41 (TEX41) is a relatively new lncRNA whose mechanism in melanoma remains vague.

Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a type of malignant tumor ranking the second in the incidence of primary liver cancer following hepatocellular carcinoma. Both the morbidity and mortality have been increasing in recent years. Small duct type of ICC has potential therapeutic targets. But overall, the prognosis of patients with ICC is usually very poor.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), one of the most lethal malignancies, is increasing in incidence. However, the stromal reaction pathophysiology and its role in PDAC development remain unknown. We, therefore, investigated the potential role of histological chronic pancreatitis findings and chronic inflammation on surgical PDAC specimens and disease-specific survival (DSS).
