Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is one of the most luscious fruit of world, which occupies a prime position in the international fruit processing industry of the world. It is one of the most choicest and popular fruit among the people and designated as the ‘king of fruits’ (Sawke et al., 15). 7 years old mango cv. Kesar garden planted at a spacing of 7.5 m x 7.5 m was selected for the experiment.

A study was conduct to investigate the effect of polyamines and NAA on quality and shelf life attributes like, TSS (Brix0 ), Ascorbic acid (%), Acidity (%), Reducing sugars (%), Total sugars% and physiological weight loss (%), Days to ripening, shelf life (%), Fruit spoilage (%) in 15 years old trees of mango cv. Kesar, under Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, saurastra region of Gujarat during 2015-16 and 2016-17.

Mango fruit Cv. Kesar were exposed to ethylene gas (100 ppm) for 12, 18 and 24 hrs in fruit ripening chamber and were then removed from the ripening chamber at the end of exposure period, packed in corrugated fibre board boxes and then kept at ambient condition to study the ripening behaviour. In another trial, the mango fruits were treated with ethephon at the concentration of 500,750 and 1000 ppm for five minutes, drained, packed in corrugated fibre board boxes and then kept at ambient condition.
