This paper demonstrates a successful implementation through a case study in wood manufacturing. The enhancement greatly benefited from the optimization of the production process. The seven quality control tools were integrated into specific systematic steps of the PDCA cycle and DMAIC process, along with lean technology.

Manufactured dyes are notably troublesome chemical toxins. The industrial wastes of these dyes are exceedingly noxious to aerobic and aquatic life and can cause compounds that show carcinogenic, mutagenic, and neurotoxic effects. In this study, cadmium imidazolate frameworks were synthesized by a solvothermal method from cadmium acetate and 2-methylimidazole in an ethanol/methanol mixture.

In this study, the effect of technological innovation capabilities (R&D capability, technology accumulation capability, technological innovation system) possessed by Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on their competitiveness improvement through innovation performance (product development and process development capabilities) was investigated. As a result of empirical analysis using the questionnaire, it was found that the R&D capability of small and medium-sized manufacturing industries in Korea did not affect product development capability or process development capability.

The result of the research showed that the company's reliance on process standardization and industrial standards was relatively high and the adoption rate for industrial standards are the highest. The company's response rate to its customers in terms of flexibility and delivery is not high and convergent for both variables. The purpose of this paper is to study the characteristics of competitiveness in firms’ sectors of the Greek manufacturing industry, based on firm level accounting and qualitative data attempting to identify key issues regarding Greek SMEs. An unbalanced data set of 407 Greek manufacturing SMEs is implemented, covering the period of 2003-2011 with the use of a multivariate regression model (EGLS) with explanatory variables characterizing firms’ operational activity.

This aim of this study is to measure the technical efficiency score and identify the factors that affect the technical efficiency in plastic manufacturing firm in Malaysia for the year 2015 using the two stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The first stage involves calculating the efficiency score through the DEA using firm-level data, provided by the Department of Statistics, Malaysia. In the second stage, Tobit Regression Analysis was used to identify the significant factors affecting the efficiency of the plastic industry.

The previous studies on technical efficiency (TE) of the soft drinks industry in Malaysia are still under consideration from other industries and existing studies discuss the industry in general. In fact, there is a previous study using industry-level data and does not consider the determinants of technical inefficiency determining the TE level. The purpose of this study is to identify the technical efficiency level and the technical inefficiency of the soft drinks manufacturing industry in Malaysia by 2015 using cross-section data of 118 firms obtained from the Department of Statistics (DOS).

It identified a blueprint of the onboarding practice for ASD employees: (1) collaborating with an external agency with expertise, (2) encouraging self-disclosure through an official autism hiring program, (3) monitoring the performance of ASD employees closely.
