This research aims to numerically simulate the performance of the tested PC utility poles using Applied Element Method (AEM) and Finite Element Method (FEM). The simulation results demonstrate that both AEM and FEM effectively reproduce the load-displacement relationship observed in the test. Additionally, this study discusses the material models employed in simulations, considering the limitations inherent in numerical modeling.

English be the continuation of a common language varieties of the Angle, Saxon and jute - commonly referred to as the Anglo-Saxon. Three varieties of this population of ethnic German who lived in this area is the North German and Dutch, but some are king Vortigern invited to England in the mid 5th century to help him in fighting indigenous Pict (now gone).

Is a branch of polymer science dealing with analysis and characterisation of polymers. üThe complication of macromolecular chains, the dispersion in molecular weight, tacticity, crystallinity, orientation, composition of polymers etc. and complex morphological systems ⇒ analysis of polymer ≠ the small organic materials ⇒ Focus on viscoelastic properties, dynamic mechanical testing.

The prediction of the expected long-term performance of concrete exposed to sewage and similar materials can be difficult as it is affected by a large number of parameters. In addition, the deterioration process in concrete is generally slow. The focus of the study was to ascertain the life expectancy of concrete septic tanks located in rural Victoria. In developing the accelerated test method, ASTM C 192, ASTM C 452, ASTM C 1293 and ASTM C 109 standard procedures were adopted wherever possible.

In this paper, a traditional adjoint method is used to propagate ND uncertainty on reactivity and reactivity coefficients and estimate correlations between different states of the core. We show that neglecting those correlations induces a loss of information in the final uncertainty.

Chapter 18 - Nonparametric methods. After mastering the material in this chapter, you will be able to: Use the sign test to test a hypothesis about a population median, compare the locations of two distributions using a rank sum test for independent samples, compare the locations of two distributions using a signed ranks test for paired samples,...

A combinatorial bijection between k-edge colored trees and colored Pr¨ufer codes for labelled trees is established. This bijection gives a simple combinatorial proof for the number k(n − 2)!nk−n n−2 of k-edge colored trees with n vertices.A k-edge colored tree is a labelled tree whose edges are colored from a set of k colors such that any two edges with a common vertex have different colors

It is shown that if a d-regular graph contains s vertices so that the distance between any pair is at least 4k, then its adjacency matrix has at least s eigenvalues which are at least 2pd − 1 cos( 2k ). A similar result has been proved by Friedman using more sophisticated tools.More generally, Serre has shown (see [3], [4] ) that for any fixed r and for any infinite family of d-regular graphs Gi, lim inf r(Gi) 2pd − 1. The same result has been proved by Friedman already in [5].
