Mathematics standards grade 1

This paper examines how the 2018 general education curriculum aligns with competency-based assessment standards, with a particular focus on 6th-grade mathematics. The research encompasses the design and implementation of a computer-based end-of-year mathematics exam, created between March 1 and May 15, 2023, and administered to over 3,850 students via the AEGlobal educational platform.

By the end of grade one, students learn to understand and use the concept of ones and tens in the place value number system. Students add and subtract small numbers with ease. They measure with simple units and locate objects in space. They describe data and analyze and solve simple problems.
