Maturation phases

"Effects of the strong El Nino 2015-2016 on the sea surface salinity over Southern Vietnam as observed by remote sensing data" show that a wide salinification is observed over most of the Southern Vietnam Sea during the mature phase of El Nino. Our results show that the spatial and temporal variability of sea surface salinity is different between the Southern Vietnam Sea during 2015-2016. In the northern regions, sea surface salinity increases during the mature phase of El Nino.

We describe the development of a nursing home information technology (IT) maturity model designed to capture stages of IT maturity. Materials and Methods: This study had 2 phases. Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is a food, fiber and oil seed crop cultivated in cooler regions. The oil content of the seed varies from 33–47%. In India it is grown mainly for seed used for extracting oil. The crop is affected by Alternaria blight caused by Alternaria spp. Different doses of microalgae were applied (@ 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 kg/acre) with irrigation at critical growth stages of crop (vegetative phase, flowering phase and maturity phase) and observations were recorded on plant growth parameters and per cent disease incidence of Alternaria Blight.

A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season 2016-17 at Farm Research Centre, College of Forestry, SHUATS, Allahabad to calculate agro-meteorological indices of wheat crop under three date of sowing i.e. 5th November, 15th November and 25th November and three variety i.e. HD-2967, PBW-502, PBW-154. Wheat crop sown on 5th November utilised more thermal and heat units as compared to 15th November and 25th November sown crops. The shortening of the duration of the crop sown late was due to forced maturity because of higher temperature during reproductive phase of the crop.

Chickpea is a cool season pulse and suffers severe yield losses when exposed to higher temperatures during reproductive phase. Stable chickpea production will depend on the release of new cultivars with improved adaptation to drought and high temperature. Twenty five breeding lines of two crosses JG 11 x JG 14 and JAKI 9218 x JG 14 were assessed under timely and late sown situations.
