This article presents an evaluation of the early-age thermal characteristics of mass concrete piers with four distinct cross-sectional shapes.

In this study, Taguchi's experimental design method was used to improve the yield of FOX-7. Verification of the results shows that the optimal synthesis parameters are as follows: the molar ratio of HNO3/MPD is 8, the reaction time is 180 minutes, and the reaction temperature is 15°C; the maximum yield of FOX-7 can reach 79.14%.

This study aims to synthesize and characterize the formation of dihydroxystearic acid (DHSA) from the ring opening of epoxidized oleic acid. The optimal reaction parameters to produce DHSA were found using sulfuric acid as catalyst in which the maximum relative conversion was reached up to 86%. The detection of hydroxyl group was using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy.

This study was designed to extract a high yield of polysaccharides from the M. smilacifolium trunk and characterize it. As a result, the maximum yield of the polysaccharides of 5.13 ± 0.05% was obtained with an extraction time of three hours, extraction temperature of 100 oC, the ratio of water to sample of 1:50 as extraction solution, extraction number of times 3, and the ratio of ethanol to extract volume 5:1 (v/v).

The Tinospora sinensis Merr. was ultrasonically extracted using 80% ethanol at a temperature of 50°C. The resulting solution was distilled to remove the solvent under reduced pressure, yielding the extract. The extract was then dissolved in distilled water, and this solution was administered to the experimental mice. The results showed that even at the maximum allowable dose, no mice experienced mortality.

This article investigates the capability of the applicability of numerical WRF model to forecast weather at 48 hours for the Southern Region Viet Nam in the rainy and dry seasons in 2021 (12/2020 - 11/2021). The WRF model shows that predicted maximum temperature, minimum temperature and rainfall are lower than measured values.

The influence of discharge rate, ambient temperature, and phase change material on the maximum temperature and the highest temperature difference was investigated. The maximum temperature of the battery was tested with and without phase change material under extreme discharge rates (4C and 5C) and ambient temperatures (310 K and 320 K). Results showed that a phase change material reduced the maximum temperature from 327.94 K to 306.45 K for a 14.6 Ah lithium-ion battery discharged at 5C-rate and 320 K.
