Born from multidisciplinary roots that include logistics, marketing, management, and sociology, SCM has developed into a distinct field of study over the past fifty years. SCM theory has only recently reached a state of maturation where it produces operationalisable concepts and tools, but progress is being made in advancing both the overarching field of SCM and the specific issues that fall under the SCM umbrella. The authors investigated supply chain strategy as an active longevity’s policy and quality of life of elderly population in the Russian Federation.

In this study, two models were proposed: a five-stage SISP maturity model for defining SISP maturity and another one for assessing the degree of SISP maturity. The five SISP maturity levels were defined as: Rudimentary Planning, Ineffectual Planning, Attainable Planning, Sustainable Planning, and Adaptable Planning. The assessment model was structured as a third-order system, where eight first-order dimensions were termed as Form and Content, Collaboration, Policies, Stakeholders' Designation, Knowledge Bank, Technology, Time Dimension, and Viability.

A new microsporidian pathogen isolated from Crepidodera aurata was identified based on morphological and ultrastructural characteristics, coupled with a molecular phylogenetic analysis. The spores of the microsporidian pathogen were slightly curved in shape, and measured 2.44–3.55 µm in length and 1.25–1.55 µm in width (n = 50). Its ultrastructure is characteristic of monokaryotic groups. All lifecycle stages of the pathogen, including meronts, sporonts, sporoblasts, and mature spores, are monokaryotic. The spore has 6–8 windings of the polar filament.

The study was conducted to evaluate the performance of 100 maize hybrids and to assess the association between yield and yield component traits of maize hybrids. The Experiment was carried out in randomized complete block designs (RCBD) with three replications in 2017 main cropping season. The analysis of variance revealed significant differences between hybrids for all measured parameters. The highest and lowest grain yield were recorded for VH132059 (11.11ton/ha) and VH141651 (6.06 ton/ha) respectively.

The mango fruit fly Bactocera dorsalis (Hendel) (Diptera: Tephnidae) is believed to be the single most devastative pest of mango in Bihar. It accounts for about 27 per cent of harvesting loss. The flies attack semi ripe and mature fruits during the months of April and May. Previous attempts at global metabolic characterization of the date metabolome were constrained by small sample size and limited geographical sampling. In this study, two independent large cohorts of mature dates exhibiting substantial diversity in origin, varieties and fruit processing conditions were measured by metabolomics techniques in order to identify major determinants of the fruit metabolome.
