Medical consortiums have been extensively established to facilitate the integration of health resources and bridge the technical gap among member institutions. This study aimed to investigate the differences in influencing mechanisms of clinicians’ hepatic contrastenhanced ultrasound technology (CEUS) utilization behavior between leading and subordinate hospitals within medical consortiums, thus providing clues for expanding effective and appropriate technologies within integrated care systems.

To establish a nomogram to predict the probability of survival of patients with stage II/III gastric cancer (GC) who received incomplete peri-operative adjuvant chemotherapy (PAC). The medical records of stage II/III GC patients who received curative resection and 1 to 5 cycles of PAC from two tertiary hospitals were retrospectively reviewed.

It is estimated that the functionally significant body of knowledge for a given medical specialty changes radically every 8 years. New specialties and "sub-specialization" are occurring at approximately an equal rate. Historically, established journals have not been able either to absorb this increase in publishable material or to extend their readership to the new specialists.

Prior research has established that the prevalence of pathogenic/likely pathogenic (P/LP) variants across all of the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) Secondary Findings (SF) genes is approximately 0.8–5%. We investigated the prevalence of P/LP variants in the 24 ACMG SF v2.0 cancer genes in a family-based cancer research cohort (n = 1173) and in cancer-free ethnicity-matched controls (n = 982).

The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG)/Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) clinical variant interpretation guidelines established criteria for different types of evidence. This includes the strong evidence codes PS3 and BS3 for “well-established” functional assays demonstrating a variant has abnormal or normal gene/protein function, respectively.

Heart failure is a growing public health issue with high mortality and hospitalization rates. Comprehensive management programs are needed to improve outcomes and reduce costs. In Vietnam, there are gaps in guideline-directed medical therapy, lack of a multidisciplinary approach, inadequate patient education, and poor continuity from inpatient to outpatient care. However, management programs are evolving with 29 hospitals having established programs.

Ebook "Standardization and quality assurance in fluorescence measurements I: Techniques" is still in its infancy as compared to other prominent analytical and bioanalytical methods. Appropriate quality assurance standards are however a prerequisite for applications in highly regulated fields such as medical diagnostics, drug development, or food analysis. For the first time, a team of recognized international experts has documented the present status of quality assurance in fluorescence measurements, and outlines concepts for establishing standards in this field.

Femoral neck stress fractures are rare and often recognized as overuse injuries that occur in young athletes or military personnel. A case following osteonecrosis of the femoral head is quite rare; even more uncommon is its occurrence in the bilateral hips. Magnetic resonance imaging has been established as the preferred tool for diagnosing nondisplaced femoral neck stress fracture due to overuse injury.
