The objective of the project was to portray memories of the Millennium Drought period through the development of artworks and this was initially undertaken with a photoshoot in January 2014. The project marries fine art methodologies with digital media and contributes to contemporary art practices that re-imagine the ways that weather can impact the environment and inhabitants living on the land. The artworks created are overall a documentation of my stories and memories from North East Victoria.

In this study, extreme halophilic archean Natrialba asiatica was utilized as a new source for lipase production. Lipases from halophilic archaea are appealing for utilization in assorted industrial and biotechnological applications. The optimum temperature and pH of N. asiatica lipase in the crude mixture were 50 °C and 10, respectively. The growth conditions influencing lipase production were determined using a two-level fractional factorial Plackett–Burman design. Among the 9 factors screened, MgCl2 concentration, temperature, and shaking were found to be effective.

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare and aggressive carcinoma located in pleural cavity. Due to lack of effective diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in MPM, the prognosis is extremely poor. Because of difficulties in sample extraction, and the high rate of misdiagnosis, MPM is rarely studied. Therefore, novel modeling methodology is crucially needed to facilitate MPM research.

The CECL revised accounting standard for credit loss provisioning is intended to represent a forward-looking and proactive methodology that is conditioned on expectations of the economic cycle. In this study we analyze the impact of several modeling assumptions - such as the methodology for projecting expected paths of macroeconomic variables, incorporation of bank-specific variables or the choice of macroeconomic variables – upon characteristics of loan loss provisions, such as the degree of pro-cyclicality.

The research on hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surface has been extensively studied by many groups around the world. The parameter determined the wetting ability of a surface is value of water contact angle. Measuring contact angle become extremely important for both academic and industrial field. In this study, we propose a simple and affordable methodology to calculate contact angle. This approach used portable microscope of Koolertron for droplet images capturing and free software of ImageJ for contact angle fitting and calculation.

Swine flu H1N1 is one among the influenza viruses which has great potential to cause epidemics as well as pandemics with great mortality and morbidity. All the suspected cases should be identified at the earliest so that interventions can be taken to prevent the spread of infections and thus contain the outbreaks.

Any study forecasting conditions four decades hence will be faced with large uncertainties and these need to be borne in mind in interpreting the results of this study. One uncertainty concerns the pathway of GHG emissions. To address that issue, the city case studies examined both a high and a low GHG emissions scenario to bracket the likely future conditions. In the climate change downscaling methodologies, there are uncertain- ties in forecasting the increase in extreme and seasonal precipitation under the different sce- narios.
