Polylactic acid (PLA) microfibrous composite scaffolds having hydroxy apatite (HA) particles in the fibers were prepared by electrospinning of PLA and wet chemical hydrothermal reaction HA with average diameter of 8.13 µm. The fibers were compressed in mould into bulk scaffolds. Microscopy characterizations confirmed integration of the crystalline HA and PLA fibers in both before and after compression.

It is shown that the isolated atom assumption and the use of an average excitation energy based on stopping power, significantly alters the value of energy imparted from excitations.

Microplastics (MP) are omnipresent in ecosystems. Some studies focus on MP fates and their toxicology on biota for the last ten years in the world. In the present study, MP was identified in bivalve (Perna Viridis) collected in Vietnam for the first time using micro-Fourier transform infrared Microspectroscopy (µFTIR) technique. Organisms were digested by KOH 10% solution then separated using KI 50% solution. The average concentration evaluated at 2.60 MP/individual and 0.29 MP/gram of wet tissue.

The study revealed that, for the selected crop which adopted drip irrigation improved the yields in the range of 14.59 to 81.9 % over traditional irrigation with highest yield increase in case of mango (81.9%) and wheat (14.59%). Drip irrigation consistently recorded higher water productivity (WP) with more than five folds increase in case of mango. The average WP was higher under drip irrigation (5.43 kg m-3 ) as compared to traditional method (0.94 kg m-3 ).

The study was conducted to assess soil quality in cotton growing environs of Nilona micro-watershed in Yavatmal district, Maharashtra, covering mainly cotton growing areas. One hundred eighteen surface soil samples were identified for determining physical and chemical indicators of soils. A minimum dataset was developed using expert knowledge for identifying soil quality indicators. Soil quality was determined using concept of relative soil quality index (RSQI).

The Co nanowire arrays were fabricated by electrodeposition method by using the porous polycarbonate template. Study on crystallographic structure, micro structure, and the element composition confirmed the quality of the fabricated Co nanowires. SEM image shows the wires with an average diameter of 200 nm and the average length of 9 m. The magnetic properties, measured at room temperature using vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), displays that the nanowires have anisotropic property.

The study was conducted at Technology Park (Plasticulture Farm) of CTAE, Udaipur, Rajasthan to evaluate performance of automated and conventional drip system for okra crop during year 2019. The Uniformity Coefficient (CU), Distribution Characteristic (DC) and Emission Uniformity (EU) were found to be highest at the head and decreases with increase in distance along the lateral for both irrigation systems. It was found that the average values of all evaluation parameters except DC, were found to be highest for automated drip system.

An investigation was carried out to estimate the level of selected macro and micronutrients in the soil and fodder of ten tehsils of Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The soil analysis indicated that moderate amount of major nutrients like Phosphorous, Potassium, Magnesium and calcium were present in these soils. This study indicated that the soils of this region were rich in micronutrients viz., Fe and Pb whereas, Mn, Cu and S contents were intermediate in quantity. The austenite and ferrite phases of the 0.5%Gd-0.8%B-stainless steels are about 88:12. The average austenite and ferrite grain size of the plane normal to rolling, transverse and normal directions of the hot rolled specimens are about 5.08, 8.94, 19.35, 23.29, 26.00 and 18.11 [mm], respectively. The average micro-hardness of the as-cast specimen is 200.4 Hv, whereas, that of the hot-rolled specimen are 220.1, 204.7 and 203.5 [Hv] for the plane normal to RD, TD and ND, respectively.

This paper presents a study on if and how automatically extracted keywords can be used to improve text categorization. In summary we show that a higher performance — as measured by micro-averaged F-measure on a standard text categorization collection — is achieved when the full-text representation is combined with the automatically extracted keywords. The combination is obtained by giving higher weights to words in the full-texts that are also extracted as keywords.

The Tesla plant in Lanskroun, Czech Republic, was the only producer of capacitors in Czechoslovakia, and of machinery for that purpose. After central planning was abolished, AVX Kyocera gradually took over the plant and a process of selective restructuring took place. The combination of gradual change and a positive outlook for the long-term viability of operations encouraged many former employees (the average qualification level was high) to set up their own small supplier firms for AVX Kyocera. After a few years, these local suppliers were able to compete with Japanese suppliers.
