The corrosion inhibition of mild steel alloys is of tremendous technological importance due to their increased industrial applications. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques were used to establish the effect of different concentrations of HCl on the corrosion behavior of mild steel. A study was conducted on the inhibition of dissolution for a mild steel alloy in the most corrosive concentration of HCl (5 M) by adding different concentrations of aqueous extract of Hibiscus sabdariffa plant (named karkade or rosselle) as an ecofriendly inhibitor.

In this paper, plate to plate butt joint welds were conducted on mild steel plates and the aims of this research is developed a Plasma-MIG hybrid welding process for single pass welding of thick steel plates. As a result, it was found that the successful single-sided welding in one pass with complete penetration and improve the weldability of welding joints in comparison with MIG welding process.

A gas metal arc welding robot was used to build a thin-walled component made of mild steel on a low-carbon substrate according to the AM principle. Thereafter, the specimens for observing microstructures and mechanical properties were extracted from the built thin-walled component. The microstructures of the specimen were observed by an optical microscope; the hardness was measured by a digital microhardness tester, and the tensile tests were carried out on a tensile test machine.

In this study, TiO2 was used as an additive for polyaniline, considered to be a matrix polymer. The nanocomposite film was fabricated electrochemically on metal surfaces (mild steel and stainless steel). The electrochemical properties of polyaniline could be seen on the cyclic voltammogram.

Seed metering mechanism is the core functional component of any planter. A new seed metering mechanism was developed for round seeds with the cell design termed 'Anjul' aimed to eliminate seed damage and obtain better seed singulation of seeds while metering. The 3D model of the cell and its housing was prepared in design softwareSketch Up. It composed of two semi-circular split seed metering rollers mounted on a mild steel circular flange and a seed box with feeding chute. The seed metering roller was fabricated from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer with the help of a 3D printer.

The experiment was conducted during summer season of 2016- 2017 at the field of Department Farm Structures, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. The experimental site was fairly uniform and levelled. Hydroponic structure was designed for the cultivation of leafy vegetables by different hydroponic methods. The dimensions of portable hydroponic structure were 1375 mm high x 925 mm long and were made from locally available materials. The structure was made up of mild steel hollow pipes of size 25.4 mm which were bended and welded together to form a Quonset-type structure.

In this study, 0.45 mM yttrium 4-nitrocinnamate (Y(4NO2Cin)3) embedded in various aqueous chloride solutions, which has been studied as a possible localized corrosion inhibition system using electrochemical techniques and surface analysis. Furthermore, a wire-beam electrode (WBE) exposed to NaCl solutions containing Y(4NO2Cin)3 compound. The results indicated the possible application of a WBE in simulating and monitoring the localized corrosion inhibition.

The main objective of this research is to convert the waste paddy straw collected from farm fields after harvesting into useful biogas generation. For this, a newly designed paddy straw plant is developed and fabricated to utilize quintals of paddy straw to produce biogas for domestic purposes and an alternative to the LPG cylinder for Indian families. Due to favorable climatic conditions of the northern region of India; the plant was developed as a batch system to fulfill the cooking needs.

In the present article an attempt was made to determine some engineering properties of aonla stones and seeds. Stones and seeds were extracted manually from fresh and fully mature aonla fruits. Physical, gravimetric, frictional and mechanical properties of aonla stones, seeds and seed shell were assessed. Moisture content of aonla stone and seed was found to be 51.36 and 8.63 % (wb) respectively. Size of aonla stone and seed was recorded 14.98 and 4.07 mm respectively. Percent sphericity of aonla stone and seed was found as 90.22 and 48.59 respectively.
