Diarrhea is one of the most common diseases and causes of death in calves during the first month of life. Pre-calving vaccination programme (PVP) against the most common diarrhea-causing pathogens could help to avoid this threat if hyperimmune transition milk (TM) is fed to calves throughout the whole susceptibility period.

Nutritious and clean milk supply should be the main mission of every dairy producer. The quality of milk products starts at the farm and continues throughout processing. To meet increased raw milk quality standards, producers must adopt production practices that reduces bacterial contamination of milk. Use of effective management strategies to minimize contamination of raw milk will help dairy producers achieve these important goals.

An experiment was conducted for a period of 120 daysto study the effect of UMMB as supplementary feeding and deworming on the reproductive performance and milk yield of dairy animals. Twenty milking cows of 4 to 6 years age group were selected randomly with initial average milk production of 6.22 liter per day. Before the start of experiment all the animals were dewormed against internal and external parasites on first day and from next day all the animals were divided in two group viz T1 control (farmers practice) and T2 feeding UMMB 300 g per day.

Goats are among the main meat producing animals in India. Along with chevon, goats also provide other products like milk, skin, fibre and manure. Increasing demand for chevon and goat milk has attracted majority of the farmers towards goat farming. Multipurpose potential with good economic returns has encouraged the educated youth, ladies, businessmen and progressive farmers to take up the goat enterprise on a commercial scale. Goat farming in India has low productivity which may be attributed to the lack of scientific knowledge.

India is the world's largest milk producer and primarily an agricultural society where animal husbandry is the backbone of the national economy. In Rajasthan, dairying provides millions of marginal farmers and landless labourers for their livelihood so it is a major economic activity of rural people. The state faces constant drought and famine, which often leads to crop failure because most of the agriculture is fed with rain. In this climate scenario, the dairy sector provides permanent annual income to a large number of farmers.
