A finite element model using a multi-fiber approach is proposed in this paper for the analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) members using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcements, with a specific focus on the effect of pure torsion. The proposed model is formulated using a displacement-based approach and a kinematic assumption involving a twonode Timoshenko beam.

In theory, the integration of Kano Model and SERVQUAL into Quality Function Deployment is to remove the assumption of linear and to offer innovative input. Kano Model characterizes attributes for product or services based on the level of customer satisfaction towards the attributes. Indirectly it can facilitate SEVQUAL to determine level of priority to the improvement process required by the organisation based on certain categories requested, in which this is going towards into the improvement of customer satisfaction.

In ebook "Handbook of computational chemistry (Second edition)" the first part briefly describes different methods used in computational chemistry without going into exhaustive details of theory. Basic assumptions common to the majority of computational methods based on either quantum or statistical mechanics are outlined. Particular attention is paid to the limits of their applicability. The second part consists of a series of sections exemplifying the various, most important applications of computational chemistry.

This paper investigates the bending behavior of beams by considering: (1) the EulerBernoulli beam model, (2) Mindlin’s strain gradient elasticity theory, (3) the von Kármán strain assumptions. The principle of virtual work is used to derive the non-linear governing equations in form of a six-order partial differential equation.

The researcher specifies the relation between the latent and observed variables and inter-correlation is allowed between all the factors. This research is based on proposing and evaluating the model based on the association between internal and external collaboration, IT capability, and performance of a firm. The study results in important implications, which are important from managerial and theoretical perspectives.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the influence of The Causal Relationship Model affect to Career Path of Commercial Banks's Employees in Bangkok with the help of supply chain management. The research instrument is a questionnaire by using a Likert scale 5 level. A statistic to test an assumption is confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling by smart-PLS program under empirical evidence from Commercial Bank sample in Bangkok.

Ebook "Assumptions inhibiting progress in comparative biology" is a thought-provoking assessment of assumptions inhibiting progress in comparative biology. The volume is inspired by a list generated years earlier by Donn Rosen, one of the most influential, innovative and productive comparative biologists of the latter 20th century. His list has assumed almost legendary status among comparative evolutionary biologists.

In this paper, techniques as popular math-tools for sensing algorithms are mentioned. Due to assumption from the knowledge of primary signal, algorithms are categorized by approaches to present. Additionally, motivated by sensing in TV frequency range, the authors narrow the investigation on algorithms for the primary signals of digital video broadcasting.

This paper studies the consensus problem in which agents interact via a matrix-weighted graph. The problem is considered with different assumptions on the agent's dynamical model (single-, double integrator) with uncertainty and on the interaction such as leaderless and leader-follower topologies.

Ebook "Introduction to polymer viscoelasticity" remains a classic in the literature of molecular viscoelasticity, bridging the gap between primers on polymer science and advanced research-level monographs. Assuming a molecular, rather than a mechanical approach, the text provides a strong grounding in the fundamental concepts, detailed derivations, and particular attention to assumptions, simplifications, and limitations.

Ebook "Inefficient markets: An introduction to behavioral finance" describes an alternative approach to the study of financial markets: behavioral finance. This approach starts with an observation that the assumptions of investor rationality and perfect arbitrage are overwhelmingly contradicted by both psychological and institutional evidence. In actual financial markets, less than fully rational investors trade against arbitrageurs whose resources are limited by risk aversion, short horizons, and agency problems.
