The study examines the moderating effect of innovation in the relationship of supply chain management practices (SCMP) and firm performance (FP) of the SMEs of Indonesia. To achieve this objective, using cross sectional research design, 250 questionnaires were distributed among the supply chain managers of the SMEs by using a convenient sampling technique which yield an 80% response rate. The data was analyzed by using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique.

These reactions involved a condensation reaction of aromatic benzaldehydes, 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione, and dicyanomethane in a solvent mixture of ethanol and water, resulting in the desired products in moderate to good yields. The procedure is efficient and eco-friendly, and the products can be easily obtained by recrystallisation. Thus, this protocol offers an alternative to existing methods.

Nitrile imines generated by the oxidative dehydrogenation of aromatic aldehyde phenylhydrazones with chloramine-T as a catalytic dehydrogenating agent were trapped in situ by 4-methoxy cinnamonitrile to afford 3,4- diaryl-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H -pyrazole-5-carbonitrile in moderate to good yields. The structures of the cycloadducts were confirmed by spectral studies and elemental analysis.

Chiral amines are important starting materials for the synthesis of biologically important compounds. Enantioselective addition of dialkylzinc reagents to imines is a reliable method for the synthesis of these compounds. Different chiral catalysts were developed and used for this method. Phosphorous based PFAM catalysts were tried for the first time in the enantioselective synthesis of amines by reacting diethylzinc with N-sulfonyl imines and Ndiphenylphosphinoyl imines. Chiral amines were isolated with moderate to acceptable yields and enantioselectivities.

The novel benzimidazole salts (1–5), Pd(OAc)2, Cs2CO3, PEG, and Cu nanoparticles catalyzed, in high yield, the Sonogashira coupling reaction promoted by microwave irradiation in 10 min. The same benzimidazole salts (1–5), Pd(OAc)2, Cs2CO3, and TBAB catalyzed, in moderate or low yield, the Buchwald–Hartwig reaction assisted by microwave irradiation in 60 min. The efficiency of the catalyst system in these four reactions was discussed as well as the electron-releasing and withdrawing substituent effects on the benzimidazole ligands.

Novel chiral bisoxazoline ligands based on norbornadiene were synthesized and used for the asymmetric Henry reaction. Various aromatic aldehydes were converted into chiral β -nitro alcohols with high yields and moderate to acceptable enantioselectivities under the optimized reaction conditions. The short and efficient synthesis of bisoxazoline ligands, the flexibility in ligand design, coordination to a large number of transition metals, and excellent enantioselectivity in many reactions make these ligands indispensable in asymmetric catalysis.

A series of novel thiazoles and 1,3-thiazine derivatives were synthesized in good yield via reaction of ethyl 3-(1-(2-thiocarbamoylhydrazono)ethyl)-1,5-diphenyl-1H -pyrazole-4-carboxylate with hydrazonoyl halides and arylidenemalononitriles, respectively. The structure of the newly synthesized products was elucidated via elemental analysis, spectral data, and alternative routes whenever possible. Moreover, the antiviral screening of the products was evaluated and the results revealed that some of them have strong to moderate potency against the rabies virus compared with the reference drug.

We investigated the radical addition of 4-hydroxycoumarin (1a) and 4-hydroxyquinoline (1b) with conjugated dienes (2a–f) mediated by cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate (CAN) resulting in ethenyl substituted 2,3-dihydrofurocoumarin (3a–f) and 3,5-dihydrofuroquinoline (3g, 3h) compounds in moderate to good yields. All compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, and 1 H and 13 C NMR) and microanalysis. Antifungal activities of these compounds were investigated against the fungi Candida albicans, C. parapsilosis, C. krusei, C. glabrata, C. tropicalis, and Aspergillus fumigatus.

A novel four component modified Biginelli reaction for the synthesis of C-2 functionalized dihydropyrimidines has been established. The approach uses assembly of less explored acetyl acetone with aromatic aldehyde, thiourea, and dimethyl sulphate to construct a novel 5-acetyl 2-methylthio dihydropyrimidine system, which works as an efficient well-designed intermediate for generating C-2 modified Biginelli libraries with nitrogen nucleophiles.

Powdery mildew caused by the fungal pathogen Erysiphe necator is a global disease that reduces yield and quality in grapes (Vitis vinifera L.). Most grape cultivars are susceptible to this pathogen and thus the selection of powdery mildew resistant cultivars is a major objective of grape breeding programs. In this study, we evaluated powdery mildew resistance of a diverse set of 28 commonly cultivated local and international V. vinifera cultivars after artificial inoculations with Erysiphe necator.

A straightforward method for the preparation of benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine derivatives catalysed by an acidic deep eutectic solvent from choline chloride (ChCl) and phenol via the Biginelli reaction of 2-aminobenzimidazole, ethyl acetoacetate, and aldehydes has been developed under metal- and solvent-free conditions. The desired products were obtained in moderate to good yield (49-79%) and the DESs were known as an economical and environmentally friendly catalyst.

Synthesis of a new (E)-N1-((9-ethyl-9H-carbazol-3-yl)methylene)-5-nitrobenzene-1,2-diamine as a fluorescent chemosensor for selective detection of Fe3+ ion over a number of other metal ions is described. The method for the synthesis of the carbazole Schiff base was based on the condensation of carbazole-3-carbaldehyde with 4-nitro-ophenyldiamine in dimethylformamide in a moderate yield. The structure of the final compound was characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, mass spectrometry, and single crystal X-ray diffraction.

Regio- and stereoselective synthesis of N-substituted azole acrylonitriles has been achieved smoothly in N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in the presence of potassium carbonate (K2CO3) as a base catalyst. N-Substituted azole acrylonitriles were obtained in moderate to good yields (39%–87%) with a one-pot reaction between readily available N-acetylazoles and Baylis-Hillman nitriles. The structural determinations were accomplished by NOESY 1H NMR and X-ray crystallography.
