The circadian clock and the daily rhythms it produces are crucial for human health, but are often disrupted by the modern environment. At the same time, circadian rhythms may influence the efficacy and toxicity of therapeutics and the metabolic response to food intake.

In modern conditions of production and sale of food raw materials and food products of animal origin, it is imperative to effectively supply chain manage the veterinary system to ensure health of animals and hence safety of food products consumed by the population. State regulation of the veterinary control in the supply chain system from the production sector is a major factor for monitoring food safety, therefore legislation of each state must provide for adequate policy on veterinary services and measures to be taken to respond to potential food safety hazard.

Ocean radiation monitoring and warning systems are essential in monitoring radioactive species' contamination levels in an oceanic environment and predicting the radioactive materials propagation caused by nuclear incidents in a marine area. Since the Fukushima nuclear disaster, different types of mobile radiation monitoring devices have been investigated based on modern technologies in electronic - communication.

A modern power system has faced in stress condition and its operating point is close to its stability limit, while the power system is subjected to variety large oscillation. The paper designed an interactive visualization tool that enables the user to monitor the stable status of power system. The study is tested on IEEE 39-bus power system network.

Air-quality monitoring is highly desired in modern life, where environmental problems have become more serious. Such a task requires continuous surveillance over large urban areas, which is costly both in infrastructure and sensor resources. Hence it gives rise to Vehicular Mobile Networks (VMNs), in which mobile vehicles play the role of sensor devices and constantly monitor the area.

This paper describes the design of a multifunction alerting display for intraoperative anesthetic care. The design was inspired by the multifunction primary flight display used in modern aviation. Results: The display retrieves live data from multiple sources; the physiologic monitors, the anesthesia information management system, the laboratory values and comorbidities from patient’s problem summary list, medical history or history & physical.

Estimating the depth of anaesthesia (DoA) is critical in modern anaesthetic practice. Multiple DoA monitors based on electroencephalograms (EEGs) have been widely used for DoA monitoring; however, these monitors may be inaccurate under certain conditions. In this work, we hypothesize that heart rate variability (HRV)- derived features based on a deep neural network can distinguish different anaesthesia states, providing a secondary tool for DoA assessment.

In the era of modern mechanical ventilation, a dynamic assessment of patient's respiratory condition appears to fulfil the idea of personalized treatment. Additionally, an increasing frequency of respiratory failure among intensive care populations raises demand for improved monitoring tools. This review aims to raise awareness and presents possible implications for the use of EIT in the intensive care setting.

Most of the indoor accidents are related with fall down. Many medical studies are point out that key factor for keeping patient’s life is fast response of monitoring system. In modern life, peoples are isolated with neighbor, especially in living quarters. Therefore many solutions are developed for falling down monitoring that base on wearable sensors. These methods require of an expensive sensors system with electric power supplier and telecommunication devices. In context of patients with disease and weak status, patients are trend to remove sensor system.

Dosing of antibiotics in critically ill patients is challenging. It becomes even more difficult if renal or hepatic impairment ensue. Modern means of renal replacement therapy are capable of removing antibiotics to a higher rate than decades ago, leaving clinicians with a high degree of uncertainty concerning the dose of antibiotics in this patient population.

Creative designing is the process where the designer plays with the arrangement of lines, forms and colours to provide beauty to the end product. The conventional method of designing is tedious, time consuming and laborious. The modern technique aims at simulation of conceived designing onto monitor which helps in better visualization with wide spectrum of designs. The possibilities of designing with respect to speed, pattern creation, editing, repeating, flexibility, variety, colour ways and cost effectiveness are endless with the introduction of CAD.

The production of natural latex is limited, and the related demand for terrestrial transportation has increased. The synthesis of rubber has become necessary and the resulting synthetics’ properties must be known. Thermooxidative degradation of synthetic rubbers 1,4- and 1,2-polybutadienes caused by heating the compounds at 100°C in the air, was monitored. The volatile compounds released during the degradation were identified using coupled modern physical methods, including NMR, TGA, MS, FTIR, etc.. Thermal gravimetric analysis showed that oxidation occurred for both 1,4 and 1,2-PB.
