Supply chain management played a critical role in the electric power industrial chain optimization. The paper notes that in order to increase transparency and efficiency of settlements for electric energy, the introduction of intelligent metering systems is necessary. In order to achieve efficiency, transparency, data security and reduce transaction costs abroad, blockchain technologies that have both positive and negative characteristics have begun to be actively introduced.

Malnutrition in intensive care unit (ICU) patients is associated with adverse clinical outcomes. The modifed nutrition risk in the critically ill score (mNUTRIC) was proposed as an appropriate nutritional assessment tool in critically ill patients, but it has not been fully demonstrated and widely used. Our study was conducted to identify the nutritional risk in ICU patients using the mNUTRIC score and explore the relationship between 28-day mortality and high mNUTRIC scores.

Epigenetic reprogramming plays a crucial role in the tumorigenicity and maintenance of tumor-specific gene expression that especially occurs through DNA methylation and/or histone modifications. It has well-defined mechanisms. It is known that alterations in the DNA methylation pattern and/or the loss of specific histone acetylation/methylation markers are related to several hallmarks of cancer, such as drug resistance, stemness, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis.

Post-translational modification is considered an important biological mechanism with critical impact on the diversification of the proteome. Although a long list of such modifications has been studied, succinylation of lysine residues has recently attracted the interest of the scientific community. The experimental detection of succinylation sites is an expensive process, which consumes a lot of time and resources. Therefore, computational predictors of this covalent modification have emerged as a last resort to tackling lysine succinylation.

Deep-sea hydrothermal vents are unique chemoautotrophic ecosystems with harsh conditions. Alvinocaris longirostris is one of the dominant crustacean species inhabiting in these extreme environments. It is significant to clarify mechanisms in their adaptation to the vents. Lysine acetylation has been known to play critical roles in the regulation of many cellular processes. However, its function in A. longirostris and even marine invertebrates remains elusive. Our study is the first, to our knowledge, to comprehensively investigate lysine acetylome in A. longirostris.

Environmental changes of biotic or abiotic nature during critical periods of early development may exert a profound influence on physiological functions later in life. This process, named developmental programming can also be driven through parental nutrition. At molecular level, epigenetic modifications are the most likely candidate for persistent modulation of genes expression in later life.

DNA N4-methylcytosine (4mC) is a critical epigenetic modification and has various roles in the restriction-modification system. Due to the high cost of experimental laboratory detection, computational methods using sequence characteristics and machine learning algorithms have been explored to identify 4mC sites from DNA sequences.

VSTEP (Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency) is a proficiency test in line with the Six-level framework for foreign language proficiency in Vietnam (VNFLPF), equivalent to the CEFR, issued by the MOET dated March 3, 2015. Of the versions for different target groups, the VSTEP 3-5 level is undoubtedly the most wide-spread so far, and common in multiple institutions of higher education in Vietnam.

Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) addition is one of the several post-translational modifications to proteins that increase their affinity for membranes. In eukaryotes, the GPI transamidase complex (GPI-T) catalyzes the attachment of pre-assembled GPI anchors to GPI-anchored proteins (GAPs) through a transamidation reaction.

Histone modifications are critical in regulating neuronal processes. However, the impacts of individual histone modifications on learning and memory are elusive. Here, we investigated the contributions of histone H3 lysine modifications to learning and memory in Drosophila by using histone lysine-to-alanine mutants.

Transcription factor binding, histone modification, and chromatin accessibility studies are important approaches to understanding the biology of gene regulation. ChIP-seq and DNase-seq have become the standard techniques for studying protein-DNA interactions and chromatin accessibility respectively, and comprehensive quality control (QC) and analysis tools are critical to extracting the most value from these assay types.

S-sulphenylation is a ubiquitous protein post-translational modification (PTM) where an S-hydroxyl (−SOH) bond is formed via the reversible oxidation on the Sulfhydryl group of cysteine (C). Recent experimental studies have revealed that S-sulphenylation plays critical roles in many biological functions, such as protein regulation and cell signaling.

It is well established that genetic and epigenetic alterations are common events in prostate cancer, which may lead to aberrant expression of critical genes. The importance of epigenetic mechanisms in prostate cancer carcinogenesis is increasingly evident. In this study, the focus will be on histone modifications and the primary objectives are to map H3K27me3 marks and quantify RAR beta 2.

The tumor suppressor gene CDH1 is critical for intercellular adhesion. In our previous work, we reported a nonfunctional CDH1 transcript that lacks the final 83 base pairs of exon 8 (1054del83). In this work, we probed the role of histone epigenetic modifications as well as DNA methylation in selection of this isoform.

Anger is the most frequently and most commonly occurring phenomenon. Anger issues during adolescence lead to many developmental issues and have lifelong impact. Assessing anger at this stage is hence critical and important. Studies report anger experience and expression vary with respect to age, gender and culture. A newly developed adolescent anger scale by the author has been validated in this study. The newly developed scale along with State Trait Anger Expression Inventory for Children and Adolescent was administered to 323 Children in a survey study conducted in schools.

Natural products are increasingly being considered ‘‘critical and important’’ in drug discovery paradigms as a number of them such as camptothecin, penicillin, and vincristine serve as ‘‘lead molecules’’ for the discovery of potent compounds of therapeutic interests namely irinotecan, penicillin G, vinblastine respectively. Derived compounds of pharmacological interests displayed a wide variety of activity viz. anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-protozoal, etc.; when modifications or derivatizations are performed on a parent moiety representing the corresponding derivatives.
