Modified genetic operators

The proposed approach is based on a modified genetic algorithm, which generates an initial population with heuristic solutions obtained from the well-known (LKH) heuristic algorithm for the TSP together with the solution of a mathematical model for the shortest path problem. In addition, two recombination methods and a mutation operator are considered. Computational experiments on benchmark instances show that the proposed algorithm can obtain high-quality solutions within short computing times.

In this paper, we propose a new genetic encoding for well known Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). The new encoding schemes are implemented with appropriate objective function and modified genetic operators. The numerical experiments were carried out on the standard QAPLIB data sets known from the literature. The presented results show that in all cases proposed genetic algorithm reached known optimal solutions in reasonable time.

The term "chromatin remodelling" is widely used to describe changes in chromatin structure which is controlled by histone-modifying enzymes, chromatin remodelling complexes, non-histone DNA-binding proteins and noncoding RNAs. Many human diseases such as cancer, various genetic syndromes, autism and infectious disease have been linked to the disruption of these control processes by genetic, environmental or microbial factors.
