In the present study five types of chat were prepared. Control chat was prepared using potato, cucumber and tomato in the ratio 50:35:15. The chat prepared from germinated legumes viz. green gram, moth bean, chickpea and lentil were given the names as type-I, type-II, type-III and type-IV, respectively.

The Present investigation entitled „Correlation and path analysis for different characteristics in germplasms of moth bean‟ [Vigna aconitifolia (Jacq.) Marechal] was undertaken during Kharif 2016. The experiment was carried out in Randomized block Design (RBD) with three replications to derive Correlation coefficient and Direct and Indirect effects in 44 germplasms in Moth bean.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of UV- irradiation, hot water dip (HWD) and ethanol vapours on the quality and storage life of moth bean sprouts (Phaseolus aconitifolius Jacq.). Moth bean seeds were washed, soaked and allowed to sprout. The sprouts were subjected to various treatments viz., ethanol vapour (30 min), hot water dip (500C for 2 min) and UV-Irradiation (10 kJm-2 for 1 h).

Cereals and pulses are the rich sources of protein and energy and thus hold an important place in human diet mainly in developing countries. In present study, pod coats of locally grown pulse crops (cowpea, mungbean and mothbean) were tested for various phytochemical constituents and antioxidant activity. Pod coats of these pulse crops were extracted with three solvents (acetone, ethylacetate and chloroform) and tested for total phenols, flavonoids, tannins, tocopherols and DPPH free radical scavenging activity.

Field experiments were conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal during winter irrigated season of 2015- 2016 and 2016-2017 to study the different fertilizer levels in Bt cotton based annual legume fodder intercropping systems. The treatments comprised of intercropping systems in the main plot (C1- Bt cotton alone; C2- Bt cotton + fodder cowpea; C3-Bt cotton + horse gram; C4- Bt cotton + moth bean; C5- Bt cotton + pillipesera) and different fertilizer levels in sub plot (F1-100% RDF; F2- 125% RDF; F3-150% RDF).

A field experiment was conducted during summer season of the year 2010 at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat to study the influence of date of sowing and irrigation scheduling on productivity of summer moth bean. The results indicated that treatment D2 sowing at (30th January) recorded the highest plant height (10.00 cm, 19.50 cm and 27.05 cm at 30, 60 DAS and at harvest, respectively. While the lowest plant height (6.25 cm, 16.33 and 21.13 cm at 30, 60 DAS and at harvest, respectively) was observed under 20th January sowing (D1).

An experiment was undertaken by utilizing forty finger millet genotypes for eleven yield and yield contributing characters to assess genetic divergence. The analysis of variance has shown that there was significant variation among the genotypes in all the traits. The multivariate analysis carried out using Mahalanobis D2-statistics, indicated wider genetic diversity in the genotypes of finger millet.
