The dynamic response of a concrete pavement system with load transfer dowels under the effects of moving loads is a topic of interest to many scholars. However, to fully understand the nature of the stress-strain state of the concrete slab, load transfer dowels, and the subgrade in the pavement structure, further research is needed.

This article presents a sliding mode control (SMC) method for vibration control of a 5 degrees of freedom tower crane with variable cable length. The control system, with high robustness, helps move the load along the desired trajectory while effectively suppressing vibrations. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control method are tested through simulations.

This thesis aims to develop finite element models for studying vibration of FGM porous beams in thermal environment under moving loads. Both analytical method and finite element analysis are employed in the thesis. The analytical method is used to derive equations of motion for the beam, and the finite element method is then employed to solve the governing equations and to determine the dynamic characteristics of the beams.

This thesis aimed to apply the SEM for dynamic analysis of cracked beam subjected moving harmonic force in the frequency domain. Namely, the frequency response of a cracked beam subjected to moving harmonic force is obtained explicitly and examined in dependence upon the load and crack parameters. This task is acknowledged herein spectral analysis of cracked beam subjected to moving load.
