This paper presents the dynamic model and singularity-free simulation of electromechanical systems including closed loop multibody systems, massless gear transmission and electric motors. The dynamic model of these systems is established in matrix form and written in a Differential-Algebraic Equations form by applying the Lagrangian equation with multipliers and substructure method.

This paper presents an in-house developed program that couples multibody dynamics and aerodynamics codes to simulate flapping flight of insects and micro air vehicles. The multibody dynamics code is built based on the numerical solution of the Lagrange equation, while the extended unsteady vortex-lattice method is employed to develop the aerodynamics code.

Multibody simulation consists of analyzing the dynamic behavior of a system of interconnected bodies comprised of flexible and/or rigid components. The bodies may be constrained with respect to each other via a kinematically admissible set of constraints modeled as joints.
