Nearly 11% of the European population is affected by energy poverty. Energy poverty is defined by the European Commission (2016) as the inability to afford basic energy services to guarantee a decent standard of living. Energy poverty is considered a complex, multidimensional problem that affects environment, housing, urban development, and health. Living in energy poverty conditions is associated with poorer human health and wellbeing.

Frailty is an age-related condition resulting in a state of increased vulnerability regarding functioning across multiple systems. It is a multidimensional concept referring to physical, psychological and social domains. The purpose of this study is to identify factors (demographic characteristics, lifestyle factors and health indicators) associated with overall frailty and physical, psychological and social frailty in community-dwelling older people from five European countries.

Frailty is a multidimensional condition characterized by loss of functional reserve, which results in increased vulnerability to adverse outcomes following surgery. Anesthesiologists can reduce adverse outcomes when risk factors are recognized early and dedicated care pathways are operational.

Performing statistical tests is an important step in analyzing genome-wide datasets for detecting genomic features differentially expressed between conditions. Each type of statistical test has its own advantages in characterizing certain aspects of differences between population means and often assumes a relatively simple data distribution (e.g., Gaussian, Poisson, negative binomial, etc.), which may not be well met by the datasets of interest.

In the final cycle, when the heat transfer reaches the permanent regime, the temperature is obtained as a function of crank angle for the solid walls that make up the engine, which is used as boundary conditions in new simulations.

Substance use and delinquency are considered to be mutual risk factors. Previous studies have shown that multidimensional family therapy (MDFT) is effective in tackling both conditions on the short term. The current study examines the long-term effects of MDFT on criminal offending.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the marketing structure of milk processors, factors influencing production and problems faced by firms following recent economic conditions in the Trakya region. Dairy cattle production is more developed in the research area than in other regions. In addition, the region has played an important role with its high milk processing capacity.

Academy of Marketing Science Review As luxury is a subjective and multidimensional construct, a definition of the luxury concept should follow an integrative understanding. For our purposes, we define luxury as the highest level of prestigious brands encompassing several physical and psychological values. To explain consumers‘ behavior in relation to luxury brands, apart from interpersonal aspects like snobbery and conspicuousness, personal aspects such as hedonist and perfectionist motives as well as situational conditions (e.g.

The problem about periodic solutions for the family of linear differential equation $$ L u\equiv \left(\frac{\partial}{i\partial t} - a\Delta \right)u(x,t)=\nu G(u-f)$$ is considered on the multidimensional sphere $x \in S^n$ under the periodicity condition $u|_{t=0}=u|_{t=b}$ and $\int_{S^n}u(x,t)dx=0.$ Here $a$ is given real, $\nu$ is a fixed complex number, $ G u(x,t) $ is a linear integral operator, and $\Delta$ is the Laplace operator on $S^n.

In practice, empirical work on multidimensional indicators of well-being jux- taposes several indicators of well-being either by studying the uni-dimensional (also called the marginal) distributions of each independently or, alternatively, by aggregating somewhat arbitrarily the set of well-being indicators into a single one. In order to compare well-being using both income and health indicators, this pa- per proceeds instead by using two sets of relatively weak measurement conditions that are sequentially applied to the measurement system.

MULTIDIMENSIONAL KOLMOGOROV-PETROVSKY TEST FOR THE BOUNDARY REGULARITY AND IRREGULARITY OF SOLUTIONS
MULTIDIMENSIONAL KOLMOGOROV-PETROVSKY TEST FOR THE BOUNDARY REGULARITY AND IRREGULARITY OF SOLUTIONS TO THE HEAT EQUATION UGUR G. ABDULLA Received 25 August 2004 Dedicated to I. G. Petrovsky This paper establishes necessary and sufficient condition for the regularity of a characteristic top boundary point of an arbitrary open subset of RN+1 (N ≥ 2) for the diffusion (or heat) equation. The result implies asymptotic probability law for the standard Ndimensional Brownian motion. 1. Introduction and main result Consider the domain Ωδ = (x,t) ∈ RN+1 : |x| 0, N ≥ 2, x = (x1 ,...
