In terms of optimization algorithms, Response Surface Method, Genetic Algorithm, and Simulated Annealing are utilized to get global optimum. The optimization objective functions are minimizing weight and maximizing lift/drag. The design variables are aspect ratio, tapper ratio, sweepback angle. The optimization results demonstrate successful and desiable construction of MDO framework.

Radiographic cephalometry has been one of the most important diagnostic tools in orthodontics, since its introduction in the early 1930s by Broadbent in the United States and Hofrath in Germany. Generations of orthodontists have relied on the interpretation of these images for their diagnosis and treatment planning as well as for the long-term follow-up of growth and treatment results. Also in the planning for surgical orthodontic corrections of jaw discrepancies, lateral and antero-posterior cephalograms have been valuable tools.

Since the primitive beginnings of operative surgery, surgeons have had a need to work with assistance, even if it was, in those early times, merely for the purposes of physical restraint. As surgical and anaesthetic practice became more sophisticated, so were the tasks becoming more complex and the demand on the surgical team ever increasing.

This volume of Advances in Neurobiology deals with the neurochemistry of disease. Included are chapters on both human diseases and animal “model” diseases. Sources of human tissue. The three main sources of human neural tissues for chemical studies have been: Brain obtained at autopsy Brain obtained at biopsy or incidental to neurosurgery Nonneural tissues containing molecules identical to those in clinically affected brain or nerve In theory, peripheral nerve is more available than brain, but chemical analyses of peripheral nerves are relatively limited....
