Multilateral trade

This study explores the impacts of economic growth, economic freedom, trade openness, education, and WTO participation on the strength of intellectual property rights protection in 29 Asian developing countries over the eleven-year period 2006 – 2016. Using GLS estimation for panel data model, the authors discover the positive impacts of economic growth, economic freedom, and WTO participation and the negative impacts of education and trade openness on intellectual property protection in developing countries in Asia.
