Herein, a performance analysis of La-doped copper-based catalysts (CuO/ZrO2 /La-Al2 O3 ) in methanol steam reforming (MSR) was conducted and compared with a commercial low temperature water-gas shift catalyst (HiFUEL W220) to produce H2 with low CO selectivity. The physicochemical properties of as-obtained catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, XRD, and ICP-OES. Effect of calcination temperature (750 ℃ and 1000 ℃) on the properties of mixed oxide support (La-Al2 O3 ) were discussed based on catalytic activity.

In the study "Structural and electronic properties of germanene adsorbing O2, N2, and H2 gases: A DFT study" DFT calculations under van der Waals corrections are utilized to investigate the adsorption mechanism of the O2, N2 and H2 gases on germanene. The first-principles physical quantities are sufficiently developed to determine the structural and electronic properties, including the adsorption energies, optimal structural parameters, the electronic band structures, the charge density distribution.

A series of CMK-3-like carbon replicas was synthesized by precipitation polycondensation of furfuryl alcohol in an aqueous slurry of SBA-15 at a polymer/SiO2 mass ratio of 0.50–2.00. Vanadium oxides, as highly efficiently catalysts, are widely applied in various catalytic reactions, such as the dehydrogenation of light alkanes and epoxidation of alkenes. In this paper, a series of VOx/Al2O3 catalysts were fabricated by the 1-pot method for catalytic propane dehydrogenation. The results indicated that the VOx/Al2O3 catalysts with loading of 10 wt.% vanadium exhibited optimized catalytic performance.

The templated porous carbons were prepared from sucrose by one-pot method. In this method in which the pre-synthesis of the hard template is eliminated, the porous carbons were produced by organic-inorganic self-assembly of sucrose, tetraethyl ortosilicate (TEOS), Pluronic P123 and n-butanol in an acidic medium, and subsequent carbonization. The synthesis parameters such as sucrose amount, TEOS molar ratio and carbonization temperature were evaluated for describing their effects on the pore structures of the synthesized carbons.

In this work, metal nanoparticles were successfully synthesized through the reduction of metal salts using reducing agents such as: ethylene glycol (EG) and sodium borohydride (NaBH4). These metal nanoparticles were impregnated into the supports M-X (M = Ni, Pd; X = Bent, C, Zeolite, and Al2O3) in high yield. The physio-chemical properties of these catalysts were characterized by various techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and the specific surface area of M-X was evaluated by N2 adsorption isotherm analysis at 77 K.
