NAA application on quality

Crop regulation studies were undertaken on Kinnow trees of 8th and 9th year which have started declining due to heavy crop load in the previous year to maintain the tree health and vigour for continuous production. Plano-fix (NAA) was used to thin the fruitlets in 0, 250, 300 and 350 ppm at fruitlets stage after fruit set. The experiment was laid on Randomized Block Design, replicated four times, two trees served as a unit of treatment. Applications of 350 ppm Plano-fix (NAA) decreased crop load via fruitlet thinning. It improved vegetative growth, tree vigour, fruit size & quality.

An experiment was conducted to study the Influence of foliar application of BioRegulators and Nutrients on the fruit Quality of Lemon (Citrus Limon Burma.) Cv. Pant Lemon-1 during 2009-10 at HRC (Horticultural Research Centre), Chauras Campus. H.N.B. Garhwal University Srinagar, Garhwal Uttarakhand, India. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Block Design with sixteen treatments and replicated in three, considering one plant as a unit.

The field experiment was conducted at Horticultural Research Centre (HRC), old campus of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, during 2011-12 and 2012-13. The study was concentrated on improvement in chemical traits, storage life and organoleptic quality of Ratol mango through application of biological regulators. Three biological regulators viz. Daminozide (50 ppm and 100 ppm), NAA (25 ppm and 50 ppm) and GA3 (25 ppm 50 ppm) were used.

A study was conduct to investigate the effect of polyamines and NAA on quality and shelf life attributes like, TSS (Brix0 ), Ascorbic acid (%), Acidity (%), Reducing sugars (%), Total sugars% and physiological weight loss (%), Days to ripening, shelf life (%), Fruit spoilage (%) in 15 years old trees of mango cv. The present experiment was carried out to study the “Effect of Naphthalene Acetic acid (NAA) and Gibberellic acid (GA3) on growth and yield of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)”. With the increased supply of NAA up to a level of 100 ppm plant height was significantly increased. Application of NAA significantly facilitates the number of branches per plant and the maximum value for this character was obtained with 100 ppm of NAA application. The number of fruits per plant and fruit weight was significantly improved due to increasing level of NAA application.

An experiment was conducted during rabi 2016-17 at Research Farm, College of Horticulture, Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh) to study the effect of PGRs on growth yield and quality of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) cv. NRCSS Acr-1. A field experiment was conducted during 2017 at Horticulture Research Farm-1, BBAU, Lucknow on 11- year- old guava plants, Studies on the Effect of foliar application of nutrients and plant growth regulators on quality parameters of guava (Psidium guajava L.) fruit cv. The present investigation was carried out during 2016-17 and 2017-18 at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya to study the effect of different plant growth regulators (PGRs) on growth, yield and quality of strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) cv. Winter Dawn, grown under shade net. The experiment was laid out in RBD, replicated 3 times with nine treatments, viz., GA3 (20 and 40 ppm), NAA (20 and 40 ppm), Cycocel (500 and 750 ppm), BA (25 and 50 ppm) and Control (water spray), applied as foliar spray at 15 and 30 DAP.
