NAA of crop regulation

Chickpea is best nutritional crop in leguminous species, and biotic and abiotic stress affects the yield loss around 50 to 60 % .For preventing yield loss from this stress, it is necessary to developed high yield, qualitative variety of chickpea. In vitro methods are best technique for regeneration and development of transgenic variety of chickpea. In this investigation research to determine chickpea in vitro micropropagation was studied in genotypes; of chickpea JG62, JG63 JG315, VIJAY and Bhupdachana with explants immature cotyledonary and embryonic axis.

Custard apple (Annona squamosa L.) is gaining popularity as dryland fruit crop in Maharashtra. But poor set is the limiting factor in the expansion of area under this crop. To circumvent this problem, the investigation was undertaken at Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, Dhule by using different growth regulators viz., NAA (15 ppm), GA (50 ppm), CPPU (1 and 2 ppm), Brassinosteroid (1 and 2 ppm), Potassium monohydrogen phosphate (0.5 and 1.0%), Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (0.5 and 1.0 %) and Boric acid (1 and 2 %).

Production of marigold can be improved to a large extent by the judicious cultural operations i.e. application of optimum fertilizer at required time, crop management practices and use of plant growth regulators. Hence, an experiment was carried out in the Research Farm of Adhiparasakthi Horticultural College, Kalavai, during 2018-19 to find out the effect of plant growth regulators (NAA, GA3) and growth retardants (Maleic hydrazide, Alar) on growth and yield of African marigold var. Pusa Narangi Gainda.

In cucumber the application of NAA produced the largest fruits the highest flesh (4). The physiological activity of vegetable crops regulates and after the application of growth regulator finally enhances the vegetable production. The present study was planned with use of different plant growth regulators and their application (15).

A field trial on the effect of different plant growth regulators viz., GA3, NAA and 2, 4-D was conducted on tomato cv. Azad T-6 during the rabi season of 2014-15. The different concentration of GA3 (10, 20 and 30 ppm), NAA (20, 25 and 30 ppm) and 2, 4-D (5, 10 and 15 ppm) were sprayed on the crop to study the vegetative growth behaviour attributes of tomato.

Crop regulation studies were undertaken on Kinnow trees of 8th and 9th year which have started declining due to heavy crop load in the previous year to maintain the tree health and vigour for continuous production. Plano-fix (NAA) was used to thin the fruitlets in 0, 250, 300 and 350 ppm at fruitlets stage after fruit set. The experiment was laid on Randomized Block Design, replicated four times, two trees served as a unit of treatment. Applications of 350 ppm Plano-fix (NAA) decreased crop load via fruitlet thinning. It improved vegetative growth, tree vigour, fruit size & quality.

Crop regulation treatments in guava like No Pruning (P1- Control), Pruning (P2) and four bio regulators namely NAA 250ppm (T2), Urea 15% (T3), Ethrel 500ppm (T4) and CCC 50ppm (T5) were used to regulate rainy season crop on 10year old L-49 guava plants during the year 2014-2015 at KRC college of Horticulture, Arabhavi (Karnataka).

India is major fruit producing country in the world after china. India have rich fruit diversity in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. Some of the fruits like Guava, pomegranate, lemon, acid lime, mandarin etc., give various flowering flushes throughout the year if left without any treatment. These crop shows three distinct flowering seasons i.e. February-March (AmbeBahar), June-July (MrigBahar) and October-November (HastaBahar) with the corresponding harvest period during rainy (June – July), winter (November- December) and spring season(February- March), respectively.

Micropropagation of Indian Blackberry (Syzygium cumini L.) species locally called as Jamun, has always been a challenging task. In India, Jamun tree is an underutilized minor fruit crop species possessing a high medicinal and nutritional value. An efficient protocol for rapid shoot proliferation of Jamun (cv. Rajamun) from nodal segment of locally grown mature trees has been developed. Experiments were conducted at Biotech Centre, Dr. PDKV, Akola during 2016-18. The Lloyd and McCown woody plant medium (WPM) used as a basal media supplemented with growth regulators at varying concentrations.

The experiment was conducted at the Instructional cum Research Fruit Orchard, College of Horticulture, Mandsaur (M.P.), Department of Fruit Science, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior (M.P.). The experiment comprised 13 treatments of foliar spray of ZnSO4, KNO3 and NAA and control, first foliar spray of growth regulator and micronutrient (ZnSo4 and KNO3) on crop was done on 15th October, 2014 and same spray was repeated after 30 days of the first spray with three replications and data analyzed in Randomized Block Design (RBD).

The influence of foliar applied plant growth regulators on rice crop was conducted on hybrid rice crop during kharif season’s 2015 and 2016. Application of five growth regulators each in two concentration viz., GA3 20 and 40 ppm, IAA 25 and 50 ppm, NAA 10 and 20 ppm, Triacontanol 5 and 10 ppm, Cycocel 3000 and 4000 ppm and one unsprayed control with foliar sprays at tillering and flowering stages for growth, yield parameters. The observation was recorded at different stages of crop.
