In this study, the effects of auxin (IBA, NAA), explants, and culture conditions (light/dark) on adventitious root induction of Codonopsis javanica were investigated. The results showed that dark conditions were more suitable for adventitious root induction than light conditions.

The basic MS containing 20g/l sucrose, 8g/l agar, TDZ 4μM and NAA 1μM was the most optimum medium for shoot propagation from seedlings and gave the best shoot quality. NAA had little effect on generating roots of Dendrobium chrysotoxum in vitro.

This study aims to assess the effect of three plant growth regulators, naphthyl acetic acid (NAA), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), and indole-3 butyric acid (IBA), on the root formation of Actinidia latifolia cuttings. At the same time, seed germination and the effect of different soil and coir mixtures on the growth of kiwifruit seedlings were tested in the nursery.

To achieve high seed vigour, seed priming can be utilized in definite manner in which three organic compounds viz. Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), Salicylic acid (SA) and Nicotinic acid (NA) in diverse concentrations and treatment durations were applied for present analysis on Oat crop. In assessment of physiological performances of seed, the various parameters linked to seed germination, seedling quality and germination allied enzymes that showed evident disparity among dissimilar priming.

In vitro regeneration through seeds were studied in lime (Citrus aurantifolia) by culturing lime seeds on MS media supplemented with BAP (1, 3 and 5 mg/l), Kinetin (1, 3 and 5 mg/l) and their combination with NAA (0.1, 0.5 and 1 mg/l). In reference to increased germination percentage, mean shoot length, mean number of leaves per explant and mean root length, among BAP and Kinetin concentrations, BAP 3 mg/l was found to be the best treatment. In terms of cytokinins and NAA combine effect, BAP 5 mg/l + NAA 0.5 mg/l and Kinetin 3 mg/l + NAA at 0.1 mg/l were found to be the best combinations.

The shoots in vitro were transferred to half-strength MS supplemented with different concentrations of IAA, IBA and NAA to investigate root formation. The best rooting occurred at 0,5 mg/L NAA (7.91 roots/shoot; root length of 4.01 cm; 98.51% root formation). The present investigation was carried out at Research Farm, Division of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar, Srinagar, J&K (India) during the year 2010 to evaluate the effect of two growth regulators IBA and NAA @ 500, 1000, 1500 ppm in comparison to control (without any growth regulator treatment) and growing medium combinations (sand 100%, sand 85% + manure 15%, sand 70% + manure 30%, sand 70% + manure 15% + soil 15%, sand 85% + soil 15%) on the rooting of three rootstocks of rose (Rosa indica, Rosa banksiae and Rosa bourboniana).

The experiment consists of six treatments of growth regulators and control i.e. NAA 500 ppm, NAA 1000 ppm, NAA 1500 ppm, IBA 1000 ppm, IBA 1500 ppm and IBA 2000 ppm, were replicated four times in a complete randomized design (CRD). Presented data indicate that maximum number of shoots per cutting, maximum number of leaves per shoot, maximum number of roots per cutting, maximum length of roots (cm) were recorded under IBA 2000 ppm followed by IBA 1500 ppm, were significantly superior to the other growth regulators and control.

A study on influence of different doses of Benzyl Adenine (BA) combined with constant level of Naphthalin acetic acid (NAA) on callus induction, shoot multiplication, and rooting of Kew pineapple was conducted. Early callus response was observed in treatment concentrations of 2mg/l BA with 2mg/l NAA and 3mg/l BA with 2mg/l NAA. Treatment 2mg/l BA with 2mg/l NAA was resulted to replicate the maximum number of shoots (22.71 at 90 days) significantly among the treatments. Shoot length was most enhanced by 0.5 mg/l BA with 2 mg/l NAA (8.09 cm at 90 days) dose.

In vitro regeneration and in planta transformation protocols were standardized for the black gram (Vigna mungo L.) cv. VBN 3, an important grain legume. An efficient regeneration protocol was developed using 1-week-old de-embryonated cotyledon as explants. An effective protocol for in vitro proliferation and multiplication of Gerbera cv. Partrizia was established during 2015-17. Among the two stages initially used for culture initiation, capitulum explants cultured at immature stage responded better than the mature stage. Present investigation was carried out to determine the optimum level of different plant growth regulators for rapid shoot multiplication, rooting and hardening of micropropagated plantlets of Aloe vera. The experiment was laid out using completely randomized design (CRD) with ten replications during 2018-19.
