  • The magnetic properties of core/shell nanoparticles (NPs) depend on the various parameters, including the magnetic interactions, but these effects have not been well studied. Here, we systematically investigated the structure and magnetic properties of Fe3O4@CoFe2O4 core/shell NPs. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) confirmed the formation of Fe3O4@CoFe2O4 core/shell NPs.

  • In this work, we carried out a study on NiTiO3 nanomaterial synthesized via citrategel method. The structural characteristics were determined by basic X-ray diffraction analysis. SEM analysis showed the surface morphology of the sample. The impedance spectra analysis was used to elucidate the dependence of complex impedance values on temperature and frequency.

  • In this work, SnO2 nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method using SnCl4.5H2O and NaOH at 180 °C for different hydrothermal times. The effect of hydrothermal time on the crystal structure, morphology, chemical bonding, and photocatalytic properties of SnO2 nanoparticles was studied. Structural and morphological characteristics of SnO2 nanoparticles were investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron scanning microscopy analyses.

  • The results also showed that the formation of cobalt ferrite spinel structures is affected by synthesis methods. Both prepared techniques were effective for the production of spinel crystalline nanoparticles. Magnetic hysteresis loop data confirmed that the magnetic properties of nanoparticles depend on the structure and size of particles.

  • The magnetic properties of the nanoparticle powders are strongly dependent on the preparation conditions. The milling process produces damages and defects not only on the surface, but also the crystal structure inside the particles, that cause an undesired strong reduction of saturation magnetization (Ms) and an increase of coercivity (Hc). A suitable post-milling heat treatment is able to heal the particles and recover most of their saturation magnetization and magnetic softness. The nanoparticles are then mixed with paraffin for microwave and radar absorption measurements.

  • The results showed that the average size of nanoparticles was about 10-30 nm. Absorption edge of each sample depended on the content of substitution of Co, Ni. Besides, the content of ion substitution also had influence on the structure, Raman spectrum, structural diagram of energy area and state density of samples.
