The study "Study on morphology, biology of Thrips palmi and efficiency of different concentration of neem leaf extract on dragon fruit" on this pest on dragon fruit has not yet been conducted. The growers at focus dragon fruit areas do not know the timing of peak thrips population, or which methods to use to control them. Thus, study on morphological and biological characteristics of Melon thrips and efficacy of some botanical and so insecticides to control the thrips on dragon fruit was performed.

An experiment was conducted to evaluate different bio-agents, biorationals and botanicals to control powdery mildew of pea. During evaluation, all the seven treatments viz. hexaconazole, NSKE, Lantana camara leaf extract, B. subtilis, T. harzianum, cow urine, butter milk were found to be significantly superior over control in managing the powdery mildew disease. Among all treatments, T1 (Hexaconazole 5 EC- 0.05%), T2 (NSKE 5%), T5 (T. harzianum 0.4%), T6 (cow urine 10%), T3 (Lantana camara leaves extract 10%) were significantly superior over other treatments for managing powdery mildew.

Extracts of certain plants have been used to control the plant diseases since several years. Here we report in-vitro studies to examine the antifungal activity of aqueous leaf extractsof three plants and neem oil against three post-harvest fungal pathogens viz., Rhizopus arrhizus, Sclerotium rolfsii, Fusarium solani. Among the leaf extracts, Duranta erecta showed maximum antifungal activity against the pathogens, followed by Lasonia inermis, Neem oil, and Cocculus hirsutus. The degree of inhibition increased correspondingly with increasing concentrations of the plant extracts.
