A Latin square experiment was designed with 4 treatments and 4 periods on 4 growing cattle (252± 54 kg) to study on the effect of ensilaged soybean forage replacing Varisme 06 (Pennisetum americanum x P. purpureum) in the diets on nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention. Each experimental periodwas last 20 days.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of dietary inclusion of silkworm pupae meal (SPM) on nutrient digestibility, nitrogen utilization, gastrointestinal physiology and blood biochemical parameters in rabbits. Thirty Termond White rabbits were divided into three groups: SBM – fed a diet containing 10% soybean meal (SBM), SPM5 – fed a diet containing 5% SBM and 5% SPM, and SPM10 – fed a diet containing 10% SPM.

Plants are always exposed to dynamic light. The photosynthetic light use efficiency of leaves is lower in dynamic light than in uniform irradiance. Research on the influence of environmental factors on dynamic photosynthesis is very limited. Nitrogen is critical for plants, especially for photosynthesis.

Nitrogen is mainly applied to soil as broad casting method. Soil application of nitrogen as broadcasting often results in lower efficiency of concerned nutrients. The broad casted nitrogen undergoes several changes and losses which occur through leaching and Himalayan Region (II) and subtropical zone (NEH-4) of Manipur.

The major uses of soybean are as a source of edible oil and protein rich food, as well as cattle feed. The nutrient requirement and interaction of different nutrients under high phosphorus conditions were not worked out so far in soybean track. To improve the productivity levels of soybean it is imperative to assess the nitrogen and phosphorus requirement under high P fertility soils to obtain the potential yield by the farmers.

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of different levels of nitrogen and sulphur on yield and quality of soybean with four levels of nitrogen (0, 40, 80, 120 kg N ha-1 ) and four levels of sulphur (0, 20, 30 and 40 kg ha-1 ). The highest mean grain yield of 1997 and 1874 kg ha-1 were recorded with the application of 120 kg N and 40 kg S ha-1 , respectively. The oil content and protein content also progressively increased with increasing levels of nitrogen and sulphur. The highest oil and protein content of 18.65 and 40.
