Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most frequent histological type of thyroid carcinoma. Although an increasing number of diagnostic methods have recently been developed, the diagnosis of a few nodules is still unsatisfactory. Therefore, the present study aimed to develop and validate a comprehensive prediction model to optimize the diagnosis of PTC.

With the advancement of diagnostic modalities, there is an increase in the number of individuals detected with thyroid nodules. There are multiple treatment options for the management of nontoxic benign nodular goiter. Radioactive iodine results in effective goiter size reduction which can be administered as out-patient basis and is an appropriate alternative for patients with higher risk for surgery.

We analyzed the differences between maximum and peak computed tomography (CT) numbers (M-P), respectively representing the densities of the solid center and the main periphery of ground-glass nodules (GGNs), and the average change in M-P velocity (V(M-P)) during follow-up to differentiate between pre-invasive (PIA) and invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC).

The present study investigated the effects of organic and plastic mulching on root development and nodulation related biometric properties of cowpea determined at different stages of crop growth (60 DAS and at harvest after 90 DAS). At 60 DAS and 90 DAS (at harvest stage), majority of the root development parameters such as root length, number of secondary roots/lateral roots, root weight with nodules, root weight without nodules were recorded highest in plants grown under organic mulch treatments with different level of drip irrigation.

This study clearly showed the benefit of P availability in combination with Rhizobium on leaf area, leghaemoglobin content, nitrate reductase activities of leaves and nodules, fresh and dry weight of nodules and fresh weights of stem + leaves at vegetative and flowering stages. Yield components, pod number and seed number were significantly increased by P availability by fertilizer alone and in combination with Rhizobium or through Rhizobium +Microphos.

The natural flavonoids released from seeds and roots of plant cultivars limited nodulation. Adding flavonoids to the rhizosphere enhance nodulation and N2 fixation. Atmospheric biological nitrogen fixation by the rhizobium is directly proportionate to the number of effective nodule developed on root. Under the circumstances if the number of nodules is increased on the legume roots, they will certainly result in to the higher biological nitrogen fixation in a particular ecosystem.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2016-17 to study the effect of potassium levels on growth, yield and quality parameters of green gram. The growth and yield attributes like plant height, leaf area, number of nodules, fresh weight of nodules, total biomass production, number of pods, seed yield and dry matter yield were significantly improved by the application of potassium and micronutrient along with RDF.

Thyroid carcinomas are known to harbor oncogenic driver mutations and advances in sequencing technology now allow the detection of these in fine needle aspiration biopsies (FNA). Recent work by The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Research Network has expanded the number of genetic alterations detected in papillary thyroid carcinomas (PTC).

A field experiment was conducted at the Agronomy Research Farm of IGKV, Raipur, during the Rabi season of 2010-11 and 2011-12. Incorporation of tillage and weed management practices considerably improved the yield of chickpea interms of N-uptake, number of nodules per plant and microbial activities of rice rhizosphere.

A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy farm, S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner (Rajasthan) during kharif, 2015 on loamy sand soil. The twenty treatment combinations consisting of five clusterbean varieties (RGC-936, RGC-1017, RGC-1033, RGC-1002 and RGC-197) and four levels of molybdenum (control, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 kg Mo/ha) were tested in randomized block design with three replications. Results revealed that variety RGC-1033 proved significantly superior to RGC- 936, RGC-1017, RGC-1002 and RGC-197 in respect of total number and dry weight of nodules.

Study was conducted to isolate and characterize Rhizobia from root nodules of pigeon pea from Vijayapur, Kalaburgi and Bagalkot districts of northern regions of Karnataka. Ten Rhizobial isolates and reference strain PPM35B were subjected for nodulation test. All the isolates showed positive result for nodulation. The number of nodules was ranging from 12 to 14.5 per plant.

A field experiment was carried out during Kharif season of 2018 to evaluate Effect of nitrogen and sulphur on the performance of blackgram under custard apple (Annona squamosa L.) based agrihorti system. The result indicated that Number of nodules plant-1 decreased drastically from 30 to 50 DAS of crop. The maximum root nodules plant-1 was found at highest nitrogen (40 kg N ha-1 ) and sulphur level (40 kg S ha-1 ) followed by, medium and over control at 30 and 50 DAS.

Liver cirrhosis is characterized by fibrosis and nodule formation in the liver, due to a chronic injury, and subsequent alteration of the normal architecture of the liver. Even though there is a huge effort to elucidate the possible etiologic factors of liver cirrhosis, a significant number of cases are cryptogenic, especially in Sub Saharan Africa, where there is a high burden of aflatoxin exposure.
