  • This paper investigates the nonlinear vibration of saturated porous functionally graded plate subjected to the combination of mechanical and thermal loadings. Three different distributions of porosity are considered. Based on the Biot and higher order shear deformation theories, the vibration characteristics including natural frequency, deflection amplitude – time curves and relation between frequency ratio and amplitude of the saturated porous plate are determined.

  • In this paper, a new design of cylindrical panels is proposed with two functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) face sheets and a corrugated core. The corrugated core layer is modelled by applying the homogeneous technique according to the firstorder shear deformation theory (FSDT). The nonlinear vibration behaviour of first-order shear deformable cylindrical panels with geometric nonlinearities is analysed in the present paper.

  • his paper investigates the nonlinear vibration of imperfect smart sandwich plate which consists of an auxetic graphene reinforced metal matrix composite (GRRMC) core layer integrated with two magneto-electro-elastic face sheets. The Poisson’s ratio of the GRMMC core is negative while the material properties of magneto-electro-elastic face sheets depend on the volume fraction of piezoelectric and piezomagnetic phases.

  • A semi-analytical approach of nonlinear vibration of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) doubly curved shallow shells stiffened by longitudinal or transversal FG-CNTRC stiffeners by using the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) with the geometrical nonlinearities in von Kármán sense is reported in this paper. The novel smeared stiffener technique is improved for FG-CNTRC stiffeners according to the FSDT.

  • The paper "Nonlinear vibration of functionally graded porous micro-beams resting on elastic foundation" presents the analysis of nonlinear vibration of functionally graded porous (FGP) micro-beams resting on an elastic foundation. The Euler-Bernoulli beam theory (EBT) and the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) are considered to establish the equations of motion of the micro-beam. The material properties of the micro-beam are assumed to be changed continuously along thickness direction according to simple power-law distribution.
