A fruit can be defined as a mature ovary. Fruit development can generally be considered to occur in four phases, viz., fruit set phase, rapid cell division, cell enlargement, and maturation and ripening. Generally, fruit development follows a sigmoid growth. But, in case of stone fruits and some other fruits double sigmoid growth curve is noticed. Fruit set normally requires the full completion of fertilization, although in some plants fertilization can be bypassed leading to the formation of a seedless fruit, a process referred to as parthenocarpy. Morphological transformation of pathogenic fungi is an important factor contributing in pathogenicity. Sporothrix schenckii is a dimorphic fungus, capable of transforming from filamentous form to yeast form in presence of nutritional factors and environmental conditions. This is very much essential for identification to establish definitive diagnosis of sporotrichosis in-vitro. A six times repeated successive subculture of a standard filamentous S.

These lectures intend to give a self-contained exposure of some techniques for computing the evolution of plane curves. The motions of interest are the so-called motions by curvature. They mean that, at any instant, each point of the curve moves with a normal velocity equal to a function of the curvature at this point. This kind of evolution is of some interest in differential geometry, for instance in the problem of minimal surfaces.
