Nuclear data improvement

Although omics datasets represent valuable assets for hypothesis generation, model testing, and data validation, the infrastructure supporting their reuse lacks organization and consistency. Using nuclear receptor signaling transcriptomic datasets as proof of principle, we developed a model to improve the discoverability, accessibility, and citability of published omics datasets.

A general synthetic method was improved to synthesize a chemosensor based on a tripodal Bodipy (t-BODIPY) structure. The product and its intermediate products were successfully prepared and fully characterized. The metal ion sensing performance of the tripodal compound was evaluated by UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. According to the obtained data, t-BODIPY is a selective and sensitive fluorescence probe for detection of Cu2+ ions in the presence and in the absence of competing ions. This chemosensor presents relatively a low detection limit of 5.4 x10–7 M for Cu2+.

The evaluation of the nuclear data used in k0-NAA should also be performed so that some of data may no longer be appropriate should be redetermined. The evaluation of nuclear data in k0-NAA would contribute to the improvement of accuracy and reliability of the method, moreover, it would also contribute to the establishment a nuclear database in Vietnam in the future.

This paper presents a method to assimilate these integral trends for improving nuclear data. In this study, the method is applied to 137Cs/238U concentration ratio. Results suggest an increase of the JEFF-3.1.1 235U cumulated thermal fission yield in 137Cs by (+3.8 ± 2.1)%, from 6.221E-02 to 6.460E-02 ± 2.1%.

The study aimed to assess the socio-economic status and consumption pattern of green leafy vegetables among selected farm women (22 to 30 years) belonging to Ayyur village of Alanganallur Block of Madurai District in Tamil Nadu state by direct interview method. A well-structured questionnaire was formulated and used to elicit the information from 100 respondents. The data revealed that 31.00 per cent of the respondents had middle school education.

Although less sensitive than MS, NMR provides a powerful complementary technique for the identification and quantification of metabolites in plant extracts.

The present paper aims at improving the modeling of turbulence for the upward turbulent bubbly flow through the use of experimental databases that contain data on small and large vertical ducts. First, the role of bubble-induced turbulence was analyzed, which indicated the dominant role of the bubble-induced turbulence in the duct center for relatively high void fraction cases. Therefore, the turbulence therein was mainly focused on, which indicated that the stronger turbulence could be induced by bubbles in large ducts with similar void fractions as compared to that in small ducts.

The aim of this work is to simulate the thermohydraulic consequences of a main steam line break and to compare the obtained results with Rossendorf Coolant Mixing Model (ROCOM) 1.1 experimental results. The objective is to utilize data from steady-state mixing experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations to determine the flow distribution and the effect of thermal mixing phenomena in the primary loops for the improvement of normal operation conditions and structural integrity assessment of pressurized water reactors.

This study achieved multiple advantageous results: primarily, it will help us perform neutron activation analysis. Next, it will give us the opportunity to produce radio-elements with short half-lives. Am-Be single and multisource (5 sources) experiments were performed within an irradiation facility with a paraffin moderator. The resulting models mainly increase the thermal neutron flux compared to the traditional method with water moderator.

An improved principal component analysis (PCA) method is applied for sensor fault detection and isolation (FDI) in a nuclear power plant (NPP) in this paper. Data pre-processing and false alarm reducing methods are combined with general PCA method to improve the model performance in practice. In data pre-processing, singular points and random fluctuations in the original data are eliminated with various techniques respectively. In fault detecting, a statistics-based method is proposed to reduce the false alarms of T2 and Q statistics.

We exhibit a counterexample to Elliott’s classification conjecture for simple, separable, and nuclear C∗ -algebras whose construction is elementary, and demonstrate the necessity of extremely fine invariants in distinguishing both approximate unitary equivalence classes of automorphisms of such algebras and isomorphism classes of the algebras themselves.

Perimeter security solutions control access to critical network applications, data, and services so that only legitimate users and information can pass through the network. This access control is handled by routers and switches with access control lists (ACLs) and by dedicated firewall appliances. A firewall provides a barrier to traffic crossing a network’s “perimeter” and permits only authorized traffic to pass, according to a predefined security policy. Complementary tools, including virus scanners and content filters, also help control network perimeters.
