In Thailand, there are three major species of Colletotrichum spp. which caused anthracnose disease to chili product; Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, C. capsici and C. acutatum. In 2015, the researchers from Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology reported a first success of radiation-induced mutation breeding for anthracnose resistance which caused by C. gloeosporioides in Sukhothai.

A new series of subcritical measurements has been conducted at the zero-power Walthousen Reactor Critical Facility (RCF) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) using a 3 He neutron multiplicity detector. The Critical and Subcritical 0-Power Experiment at Rensselaer (CaSPER) campaign establishes a protocol for advanced subcritical neutron multiplication measurements involving research reactors for validation of neutron multiplication inference techniques, Monte Carlo codes, and associated nuclear data.

In this study, analysis of the complete operational history of the “Joˇzef Stefan” Institute (JSI) TRIGA reactor was performed. Reactor power changes, core configurations and weekly excess reactivity measurements were analysed to obtain the needed data for fuel burnup calculations.

The METAPHIX programme is a collaboration between the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI, Japan) and the Joint Research Centre - Institute for Transuranium Elements (JRC-ITU) of the European Commission dedicated to investigate the safety and effectiveness of a closed nuclear fuel cycle based on Minor Actinides (MA: Np, Am, Cm) separation from spent fuel, incorporation in metal alloy fuel and transmutation in fast reactor.

The off-line activation technique using a spectroscopic system consisting of a HPGe semiconductor detector with high energy resolution and a PC based 8192 channel analyzer (CANBERRA) was applied. The investigated samples were prepared from the 99.99 % purity PdO and irradiated at the electron accelerator Microtron MT-25 of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research Dubna, Russia. The data analysis and necessary corrections were made to upgrade the precision of the experimental method.

In this work we present the results of measurement of the isomeric ratio of fission fragment 135 54 Xe in photofission of 237Np induced by bremsstrahlung in the Giant Dipole Resonance Region by the method using the inert gaseous flow. The experiments have been performed at the electron accelerator Microtron MT-25 of the Flerov laboratory of Nuclear Reaction, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia. The results were discussed and compared with that of other authors.

The control rod assembly controls reactor power by adjusting its position during normal operation and shuts down chain reactions by its free drop under scram conditions. This report introduces a new computer program, so-called MSAP-1.0, which has been developed at the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute, for data processing and interpretation of the experimental data sheets based on the multivariate data analysis techniques. In this preliminary version of the program, the dimensions of a given data set to be analyzed are up to 50 variables and thousands of observations. The main functions in this version are principal component analysis, cluster analysis, standardization and output data plot.

This report presented the method for thermal neutron dosimetry on base of determination of specific radioactive activity of measured 24 Na in the irradiated Human blood. Stable sodium contents of 23 Na in blood samples (for 150 people in Lamdong province, in which there are 85 staffs working at the Nuclear Research Institute) determinated by the method of instrumental neutron activation analysis at the Reactor and have the average value of 1.90±0.27 mg/ml blood.

Anssi Auvinen MD PhD received his MD (1989) and PhD in epidemiology (1997) from the University of Tampere, Finland. He has worked as a research scientist at the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority and the Finnish Cancer Registry and was a visiting scientist at the National Cancer Institute in the United States. He is Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Tampere. His main research interests include cancer screening and the health effects of radiation.

Dr. Elias Zerhouni, who became director of the NIH in May 2002, had been Associate Dean for Research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine before going to the NIH as the fi rst radiologist to head that agency.
