Nitrogen (N) is a major nutrient element for crop growth. In plants, the members of the peptide transporter (PTR) gene family may involve in nitrate uptake and transport. Here, we identified PTR gene family in rice and analyzed their expression profile in near-isogenic lines.

Nutrient levels are known to influence the development of osteoarthritis (OA), presumably by modulating levels of matrix biosynthesis and degradation. These processes may be affected by ascorbic acid (AA), an antioxidant which acts as a cofactor for numerous biochemical reactions and is essential for post-translational modifications of collagen.

This study was undertaken in 2016- 2017 by Division of Soil Science and Agri. Chemistry, Ratnai College of Agriculture, Akluj, India. In this module of experiential learning students collected 101 soil samples from Malshiras tahsil and analysed physico-chemical and chemical properties of different soils. In physico-chemical analysis average pH 7.86 which is slightly alkaline in reaction, EC-0.544dS/m which safe in soluble salt concentration, O.C-0.47 % is low to medium and CaCO3- 4.15% which indicates calcareous condition.

Effect of foliar spray of various nutrients on yield attributes, yield and economics of rainfed rice
A recent trend in the fertilizer industry to shift from ammonium sulphate to urea and from superphosphate to non-sulphur phosphatic fertilizer may induce more widespread sulphur deficiency in lowland rice. Keeping all above facts in view the present study was undertaken to find out the nutrient economy through foliar application of fertilizer and to assess the economic feasibility of various treatments.

Plants, fungi, and bacteria form complex, mutually-beneficial communities within the soil environment. In return for photosynthetically derived sugars in the form of exudates from plant roots, the microbial symbionts in these rhizosphere communities provide their host plants access to otherwise inaccessible nutrients in soils and help defend the plant against biotic and abiotic stresses.

The solar powered aeroponic system was developed for cultivation of high valued crops. The aeroponic system was developed by using different components like SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) module, growth chamber, mister, nutrient tank, D.C pump, battery and digital timer. The system comprising a 120 W SPV module with 84 W D.C motor pump, main, submain, laterals and misters. The mister discharge, pump discharge, current, voltage, pump pressure and discharge of misters were tested. The mister with discharge of 7.2 lph in the pressure range was 3.8 kg cm-2 provided by the pump.

The experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2014-15. In titled effect of different Integrated Nutrient Management modules in different cultural practices on availability of nutrients in silty clay loam soil. SRI cultivation practices with continuous chemical farming; there was not increase in the soil nutrients status and availability nutrient uptake of soil during both the years. However, distinct decrease was noticed in all the values when crops were raised any without on external supplementation of nutrients.

In silico identification of inhibitors from Salacia reticulate plant against diabetic target protein
Salacia species for its antdiabetic property especially of root, stem and leaf extract. Plant produces several phytochemicals responsible for antidiabetic activity. Four proteins were selected based on literature survey and retrieved from protein data bank. The 18 chemicals were converted into 3 D structure and docked with diabetic protein. Benzeneacetonitrile, .Alpha.-(.Beta.-D-Glucopyranosyloxy)- ,(R)- is a chemical expressed in salacia which showed good antidiabetic property among 18 other chemicals.

Greenhouse experiment was conducted to assess the soil biochemical change patterns in soils of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF)-inoculated and uninoculated maize plants fertilized with varying levels of P and Zn. Soil samples were collected for mycorrhizal spores, microbial communities, available micronutrients and phosphorus (P) contents besides organic and biomass carbon (BMC), soil enzymes and glomalin. Major portion of Fe and Zn fractionations was found to occur in the residual form.

Urea in diets of ruminants has been investigated to substitute expensive animal and vegetable protein sources for more than a century, and has been widely incorporated in diets of ruminants for many years. Urea is also recycled to the fermentative parts of the gastrointestinal (GI) tracts through saliva or direct secretory flux from blood depending upon the dietary situations. Within the GI tracts, urea is hydrolyzed to ammonia by urease enzymes produced by GI microorganisms and subsequent ammonia utilization serves the synthesis of microbial protein.
