Ocean vehicles

Single beam echo sounders (SBES) mounted on unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) are widely used in hydrographic surveying, particularly for detecting water depth and digital depth mapping, among other things. Because of conditions such as ocean waves, the relative level arm of each component, and errors in each component device, using only SBES and GPS sensors leads to significant errors and poor accuracy. Now the SBES sensor's accuracy has improved.

The control development is based on new local potential functions, which attain the minimum value when the desired formation is achieved, and are equal to infinity when a collision occurs. Several simulation examples are included to illustrate the approach throughout the paper.

We present an application of our constructive method for design cooperative controllers in (KhacDuc Do et al., 2018) to solve the problem of forcing a group of N ocean vehicles under environmental disturbances to track desired paths in a horizontal plane. This paper presents the basic information on the present status of ocean observation and service in Vietnam with focus on the physical oceanography area. Study results show that in recent years, ocean observations of Vietnam have been equipped with a series of modern measured and analyzed instruments, especially at related offices of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE).

Over the last ten years or so, interest in outdoor ambient air pollution monitoring has tended to move away from carbon monoxide and towards other pollutants such as NOx and particulate matter. This is due to the limited direct health impacts associated with exposure to modest amounts of carbon monoxide. The applications of underwater vehicles have shown a dramatic increase in recent years, such as, mines clearing operation, feature tracking, cable or pipeline tracking and deep ocean exploration. According to different applications, the mechanical and electrical configuration and shape of an underwater vehicle are different. For instance, manipulators are necessary when doing mines clearing operation or some other tasks which need to deal with environment.
