On the farm

Currently, cricket farming is becoming more and more popular since it brings high economic efficiency to farmers. Crickets can be raised in a small area, are easy to care for, have a short harvest time, and have no pollution problem. This paper provides insight into the effects of three types of food on the growth and development of crickets (Gryllus bimaculatus) and proposes the rearing process of crickets.

Fertilizers play an important role in enhancing crop yield, plant growth, and the fertility of the soil. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Teaching and Research Farm, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria to investigate the influence of inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic manure (spent mushroom substrate and poultry manure) on the yield and growth parameters of three okra cultivars (Clemson Spineless, Perkins Long Pod, and a local assertion).

This thesis involves construction of input-output models measuring the economic impact of a farming innovation organisation (The Birchip Cropping Group) on the Victorian regional economy of Buloke Shire. The input-output modeling undertaken is of two forms; the first being a simple top-down model, and the second a more sophisticated hybrid model. The top-down model is based on input-output coefficients drawn from the Australian national input-output tables, and is regarded as because these input-output coefficients are not adjusted to take account of local economic factors.

This study attempts to measure attitudes toward risk and analyze the influence of farmers' attitudes toward risk on the economic efficiency in hybrid maize cultivation offarm households in the Mekong Delta. Front line demonstration is an effective and appropriate tool to demonstrate recommended technologies among the farmers. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, JAU, Amreli conducted 30 demonstrations on castor during 2015-16 to 2017-18 in the villages of Amreli district. The study found, the yield of castor in IT under irrigated conditions ranges from 25.70 to 27.85 q/ha whereas in FP it ranges between 19.45 to 22.31 q/ha. The per cent increase in yield with IP over FP was recorded in the range of 18.5 to 32.1%. The extension gap and technological index were ranging from 4.1 to 6.3 q/ha and 2.2 to 4.
