This study utilizes a quantitative approach to conduct a research on approximately 308 small-scale businesses. The study employs a method of confirmatory component analysis (CFA) held by applied Structure Equation Modelling (SEM) to achieve the research objective. The results demonstrate that performance was significantly associated with various micro-finance services such as training for managers, training skills, and loan size. In particular, micro-finance programs should be considered by small entrepreneurs, microfinance institutions, and policy makers.

The purpose of this study is to determine the synchronous or asynchronous nature of movements in the exchange rate yields of the various ECOWAS currencies. This analysis uses the dynamic conditional correlation model recently developed by [1]. The use of this methodology is mainly due to the non-constancy of the volatility of the financial series. Moreover, this characteristic of volatility remains natural for a small, very open economy, which is also subject to a multiplicity of exogenous shocks.

Models begin with many simplifications (e.g., assumptions), but then we evaluate the model by comparing the implications of the model with what we observe in the real world. After studying this chapter you will be able to understand: Why show this? Because some who read about consumer theory may be concerned about the unrealistic nature of the models and thus may get too involved in how unrealistic the model is. The focus should be on understanding consumer choice theory and then examining what happens if more realism is introduced.
